Koalisi Lawan Reklamasi (KAWAL) : Rayakan Hari Kemerdekaan dengan Festival “Merdeka dari Reklamasi.”

Makassar, Cakrawalaide.com – Koalisi Lawan Reklamasi (KAWAL) bersama Island Fest rayakan hari kemerdekaan dengan mengadakan festival yang berlangsung di pulau Lae-Lae pada kamis (17/08/2023).
Festival yang mengusung tema “Merdeka Dari Reklamasi.” berlangsung selama tiga hari mulai dari 16 Agustus 2023 sampai 18 agustus 2023 dengan beragam rangkaian kegiatan seperti bersih pantai, parade laut, upacara bendera, parade budaya, live mural, parade layang-layang, pasar rakyat, tari pa’dupa dan kontemporer, teater, musikalisasi puisi, instalasi galeri, lomba dan live musik.
Kia dari kawal pesisir menuturkan bahwa kegiatan pada hari ke-2 pada festival diawali dengan upacara bendera kemudian disusul dengan pawai budaya, pertunjukan layang -layang dan pasar rakyat.
“Ada upacara setelah upacara itu ada parade budaya terus dilanjut parade layang – layang dan pasar rakyat,” ujar Kia.
Bagi Kia hari kemerdekaan bukan hanya tentang mengingat jasa pahlawan.
“Perayaan kemerdekan itu tidak melulu bicara soal kita hanya mengingat pahlawan ketika dulu memperjuangkan kemerdekaan indonesia tetapi bagaimana indonesia lebih baik kedepannya.”
Lebih lanjut ia menuturkan alasan mengapa pada perayaan festival tahun ini mengusung tema “Merdeka Dari Reklamasi.” Karena sejak februari 2023 warga Lae -lae sudah di hantui dengan rencana reklamasi di sekitar pulaunya.
“Sejak februari mereka dibayang-bayangi dari rencana reklamasi yang akan dilaksanakan Pemprov, makanya tema yang diusng teman – taman itu adalah merdeka dari reklamasi.”
Dalam rilis pers yang dibagikan, akses ruang bagi masyarakat pesisir dan pulau-pulau kecil kian menyempit, baik sebagai tempat tinggal, ruang hidup serta wilayah kelola. Hal ini bisa dilihat sepanjang pesisir Makassar, mulai dari wilayah Tanjung Bayang hingga CPI, kemudian bergeser ke pesisir Ujung Tanah dan Tallo, wilayah tersebut telah dimodifikasi sedemikian rupa dengan beragam peruntukan, mulai dari properti, pariwisata, pusat perbelanjaan, pelabuhan dan pembangunan lainnya yang dibingkai dalam satu tarikan nafas yaitu “Reklamasi”.
Dalam lautan kenyataan, reklamasi lebih banyak untuk kepentingan bisnis dan mengambil sumber daya bersama (common) sehingga masyarakat tak memiliki akses untuk menikmati dan memanfaatkannya. Reklamasi hanya memberikan dampak buruk bagi masyarakat pesisir dan pulau pulau kecil.
