Makassar, Cakrawalaide.com – Sejumlah aktivis yang tergabung dalam Extinction Rebellion (XR) Makassar melakukan aksi unjuk rasa di Lego-lego Central Point of Indonesia (CPI), Kota Makassar. Para aktivis mendesak rencana aksi iklim dan implementasi pengendalian perubahan iklim lebih ambisius yang selaras dengan Perjanjian Paris kepada Presiden Joko Widodo dan delegasi Indonesia di COP26. Sabtu, 24 Juli 2021.

Aksi yang dilakukan jelang 100 hari menuju Konferensi Perundingan Perubahan Iklim UNFCCC COP26 ini menuntut, yang pertama, deklarasikan darurat iklim. Mendeklarasikan darurat iklim agar pemerintah dapat mulai bekerja dengan seluruh lembaga negara lainnya dalam menyegerakan perubahan sistemis. Ini termasuk penyebarluasan kebenaran melalui semua media massa dan lembaga pendidikan agar semua lapisan masyarakat bisa bergerak serentak ke arah yang benar. Kedua, Mitigasi. Mencabut semua kebijakan yang merusak lingkungan dan menetapkan kebijakan-kebijakan strategis yang memprioritaskan keselamatan dan kesejahteraan manusia, hewan, lingkungan hidup, dan hak generasi saat ini dan selanjutnya. Dan yang ketiga Demokrasi. Mengesahkan pembentukan dewan rakyat yang adil dan representatif sebagai entitas yang berdaulat untuk menyusun dan mengawasi pelaksanaan seluruh kebijakan yang dibutuhkan untuk keluar dari krisis iklim. Merumuskan kebijakan yang dibutuhkan akan menjadi dasar aksi yang akan dijalankan pemerintah sebagai aksi penanggulangan krisis iklim, yang mengikat secara hukum dan pelaksanaannya bisa dipertanggung-jawabkan dan diawasi masyarakat secara riil.

Aksi yang dilakukan didasari atas kekhawatiran akan dampak krisis iklim dan bencana-bencana yang diprediksi banyak peneliti dunia akan melanda Indonesia di masa depan apabila upaya mitigasi dan adaptasi perubahan iklim yang dilakukan tidak ambisius.

Pada laporan lembaga peneliti internasional perubahan iklim, yaitu Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) pada tahun 2018 menyebutkan kini bahwa Indonesia sebagai salah satu negara yang rentan akan dampak perubahan iklim, karena merupakan negara kepulauan dengan iklim tropis.

“Target penurunan emisi Indonesia dalam dokumen Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) update yang sudah di submit pemerintah Indonesia Juli 2021 ke UNFCCC. Saat ini tidak memperlihatkan semangat aksi iklim yang ambisius untuk menyelamatkan bangsa dan rakyat Indonesia dari permasalahan utama bumi ini yaitu Krisis Iklim,” Ungkap Arif, Extinction Rebellion Makassar.

“Ketidakjujuran kepemimpinan bangsa dan ketidakpahaman rakyat bahwa Indonesia dalam situasi darurat iklim akan membawa lebih banyak rakyat Indonesia pada masalah yang lebih parah seperti ekonomi dan sosial dan itu tercermin saat ini pada masa krisis pandemi Covid-19, situasi yang tidak terkendali,”Lanjut Arif.

Dalam analisis Climate Action Tracker (CAT) rencana pengendalian perubahan iklim Indonesia dinilai masih sangat kurang. Indonesia berkomitmen untuk mengurangi emisinya hingga 29% tanpa bantuan internasional dan 41% dengan kerjasama internasional. Dari komitmen yang dibuat tersebut diprediksi akan membawa bumi ke peningkatan suhu global sebesar 3-4ºC di atas suhu pra-industrialisasi. Nyatanya kenaikan suhu tersebut perlu dibatasi agar tidak melebihi 1,5ºC untuk mencegah bahaya dampak perubahan iklim yang parah. Kini di tahun 2021 ini.

Badan Meteorologi Dunia (WMO) menyatakan bumi sudah berada di kenaikan suhu 1,2ºC. Dengan kenaikan suhu saat ini, sebanyak 5,5 juta masyarakat Indonesia telah menjadi korban hingga harus mengungsi dan menderita di 6 bulan pertama tahun 2021.

Penurunan emisi indonesia belum dapat terjadi jika Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Uap (PLTU) Batubara masih menjadi sumber energi listrik utama Indonesia hingga tahun 2030. Misi yang dihasilkan dari unit PLTU batubara adalah sumber utama yang memperparah kenaikan suhu global.

Sebenarnya solusi untuk sektor energi sudah jelas dan tersedia, yaitu energi terbarukan yang lebih bersih. Alih-alih mengurangi jumlah PLTU batubara dan bertransisi ke energi terbarukan, justru tetap merencanakan penambahan unit pembangkit fosil tersebut. Bahkan pemerintah RI belum memiliki rencana untuk memberikan kemudahan dan insentif untuk transisi energi dengan alasan finansial dan kesiapan pemerintah.

“Kecanduan energi fosil harus mulai dihentikan sekarang juga dan tidak memberi kemudahan industri ekstraktif dari uang rakyat. Kita tidak bisa ditipu dengan mengandalkan solusi palsu seperti clean coal technology, supercritical coal plant, atau teknologi batubara hijau, terutama karena solusi tersebut tetap akan mengemisikan polutan yang berbahaya bagi lingkungan dan kesehatan masyarakat. Alam telah menyediakan sumber daya bersih yang kita butuhkan, dan bahkan melimpah,” Tegasnya Arif, Extinction Rebellion Makassar.

Di Sektor hutan, Pada kenyataannya Kementrian Lingkungan Hidup dan Kehutanan (KLHK) belum melakukan pencegahan deforestasi secara ketat dan tindakan hukum yang sesuai. Perizinan terhadap penebangan hutan masih tetap diberikan dengan dalih izin lama yang sudah sesuai prosedur. Lebih parahnya, hak atas tanah masyarakat adat pun masih dibatasi. Jika tidak ada perubahan dari segi pengelolaan lahan dan hutan, Indonesia akan menjadi gundul dan miskin akan kekayaan alam. Dan target net zero di 2030 untuk sektor kehutanan hanya permainan data dan angka.
