Makassar, Cakrawalaide.com -Aliansi Bela Mahasiswa gelar Konferensi Pers di gedung Flamboyan Fakultas Ilmu Sosial (FIS) Universitas Negeri Makassar (UNM), menyikapi Surat Keputusan (SK) Drop Out (DO) yang diberikan pihak kampus Institut Agama Islam Al-Amanah Jeneponto kepada Usman dan Muhammad. Selasa, (07/09/21).
Dalam agenda tersebut yang menjadi narasumber adalah yang bersangkutan langsung. Muhammad selaku korban, mengungkapkan bahwa dirinya mendapatkan SK DO tanpa ada kejelasan dari pihak kampus.
“Hari itu saya masuk Palopo tanggal 5 Agustus dan saya menghubungi teman saya yang ada di kampus. Teman saya bilang keluarmi surat DO mu Muhammad,” ujarnya.
Ia mengatakan, seharusnya pihak fakultas memberikan teguran dengan mengeluarkan Surat Peringatan (SP) terlebih dahulu, sebelum akhirnya memutuskan untuk menerbitkan SK DO tersebut.
Selanjutnya, Usman yang juga hadir sebagai narasumber, memaparkan bagaimana kronologi sampai ia mendapatkan SK DO yang menurutnya diberikan tidak mempunyai landasan atau ketetapan yang jelas. Sehingga ia merasa telah dirugikan oleh pihak kampus.
“Pada tanggal 12 ada surat panggilan surat orang tua ke rumah, dan dihadiri oleh orang tua saya, dan pertemuan itu di katakan, bahwa anak nya ibu akan di DO karena melakukan pelanggaran, jarang memasuki perkuliahan dan tidak mematuhi peraturan, salah satunya rambut gondrong, mencemari nama baik dosen dan kampus melalui media sosial. Kemudian dia bilang tunggu surat 1 sampai 5 hari utuk surat DO,” ungkap Usman.
Menyikapi permasalahan yang dialami oleh Usman dan Muhammad mahasiswa IAI AL-Amanah Jeneponto dimana sanksi DO dan skorsing tidak layak diberikan, mengingat pihak kampus tidak menjalankan proses sanksi sesuai prosedur yaitu dengan memberikan SP I, II, III atau memanggil mahasiswa yang bersangkutan untuk dimintai pertanggung jawaban atas sesuatu yang ia perbuat. Sehingga kampus dianggap telah melakukan diskriminasi kepada beberapa mahasiswa.
Adapun tuntutan yang dibawa dalam konferensi ini, yaitu:
1. Ombudsman harus objektif dalam mengawal dan menyelesaikan kasus DO mahasiswa IAI Al-Amanah Jeneponto.
2. Ombusmand Harus Menjalankan Laporan dengan Serius.
