Aliansi Mahasiswa UMI Kembali Menggugat Birokrasi

Makassar, Cakrawalaide.com- Sejumlah mahasiswa yang tergabung dalam Aliansi Mahasiswa Universitas Muslim Indonesia (UMI) menggelar aksi di depan gerbang kampus II UMI Jalan Urip Sumohardjo guna menggugat kebijakan kampus yang tidak pro terhadap mahasiswa, Kamis (15/7/2021).
Aksi tersebut berlangsung pada pukul 14.00 WITA. Massa aksi memasang spanduk yang berukuran besar menutupi sepanjang pintu gerbang kampus II UMI. Spanduk itu berisikan gugatan kepada pihak Birokrasi yakni berikan potongan BPP 50%, vaksin massal di kampus UMI dilaksanakan, mengevaluasi sistem kuliah daring, memberikan jaminan nilai minimal B selama pandemi, pembatasan jam aktivitas kampus ditiadakan, tolak pungli di kampus UMI, memberikan jaminan prokes kepada civitas akademik, mewujudkan demokratisasi kampus serta menolak adanya kampus merdeka.
Aksi tersebut menyebabkan kemacetan sepanjang jalan keluar kampus. Menurut humas Aliansi Mahasiswa UMI, Zul menuturkan massa aksi yang terdiri dari berbagai fakultas bergerak atas keresahan bersama yakni krisis ekonomi di masa pandemi.
“Kami hadir atas keresahan bersama, meminta pihak kampus untuk memberikan kebijakan yang pro terhadap mahasiswa,” ungkapnya.
Lanjut ia juga mengkritik pengambilan keputusan Birokrasi yang tidak pro terhadap mahasiswa, salah satunya penghapusan subsidi BPP (Biaya Penyelenggaraan Pendidikan) yang diberikan kepada mahasiswa senilai Rp.300.000.
“Sekarang ini masih dalam keadaan pandemi dan krisis ekonomi, penghapusan subsidi itu tidak masuk akal dan rasional sedangkan fasilitas kampus tidak sepenuhnya digunakan oleh mahasiswa, dikemanakan uang mahasiswa itu,” lanjutnya.
“ Kami akan menunggu dari pihak birokrasi untuk mengadakan dialog terbuka yang disaksikan oleh semua mahasiswa UMI sebab ini adalah keresahan bersama bukan individu,” tambahnya.
Wakil Rektor III Nasrullah yang menumui massa aksi mengungkapkan bahwa segala kebijakan yang diberlakukan oleh UMI berdasarkan keputusan pimpinan dan telah melalui beberapa pertimbagan.
“Begini nanda, keputusan itu telah diputusakan pada rapat senat bersama dengan para pimpinan tutuntan ananda ini kami akan tampung dan kembali akan dibahas bersama,” tuturnya.
Saat ditanya bagaimna tindak lanjut dari tuntutan mahasiwa, Nasrullah meminta mahasiswa untuk bersabar dan menunggu keputusan agar diadakannya dialog bersama.
“Sabar nanda, kami akan usahakan membuka dialog tunggu saja keputusannya,” tutupnya.
Sementara itu, Aliansi Mahasiswa UMI mengatakan akan terus mengawal hal ini sampai birokrasi membuka dialog untuk kemudian membahas tuntutan mereka.
