AM-UIM Bersatu Tuntut Copot Rektor dan Lengkapi Sarana Prasarana yang Layak
Makassar, cakrawalaide.com – Aliansi Mahasiswa Universitas Islam Makassar (AM-UIM) Bersatu menggelar aksi unjuk rasa menuntut copot jabatan Rektor Universitas Islam Makassar (UIM) serta lengkapi sarana dan prasarana yang layak di setiap fakultas dan jurusan di kampus UIM. Jl. Perintis Kemerdekaan, Senin (20/5/2019).
Dalam Aksi unjuk rasa tersebut AM UIM Bersatu mendesak Ketua Yayasan Perguruan Tinggi Al-Ghazali untuk mencopot jabatan Rektor Universitas Islam Makassar, karena dinilai tidak bisa lagi menjadi pimpinan tertinggi di kampus UIM. Dengan melihat kondisi objektif kampus di tingkat fakultas telah mengalami kemerosotan dalam pelaksanaan pendidikan, serta sarana dan prasarana yang ada tidak meningkat dari tahun ketahun.
“Dari beberapa periode dibawah pimpinan rektor UIM itu tidak sesuai dengan apa yang dipromosikan, karena dia terus membodohi dan membohongi mahasiswa, jangankan mahasiswa orang tua mahasiswa pun ikut dibodohi dan dibohongi oleh Rektor dalam hal ini Andi Maidah M. Zain,” tutur Raul, selaku jenderal lapangan aksi.
Dirinya juga menambahkan, ketika tuntutan aliansi tidak terpenuhi maka mereka akan terus melancarkan aksi.
“Apabila tuntutan ini tidak diindahkan kami akan terus melakukan aksi unjuk unjuk rasa sampai tuntutan kami di indahkan, karena kami Mahasiswa Universitas Islam Makassar sudah cape dibodohi dan dibohongi oleh pihak pihak tak bertanggung jawab dalam hal ini Andi Majdah. M. Zain,” ujarnya.
Di lain sisi, Henry dari Front Mahasiswa Nasional (FMN) Ranting UIM juga mengungkapkan beberapa alasan AM UIM Bersatu melakukan aksi.
“Dengan melihat keadaan objektif kampus saat ini yang mengalami kemerosotan dari tingkat fakultas, dimana sarana dan prasarana yang tidak meningkat dari tahun ketahun tapi biaya pendidikan di kampus ini meningkat setiap tahunnya,” ungkapnya.
Lanjut, Henry menjelaskan aliansi telah menjumlahkan pendapatan kampus UIM dari mahasiswa tahun ajaran 2018/2019.
“Pendapatan kampus yang didapat dari mahasiswa dari tahun ajaran 2018/2019 semester genap itu sudah kami hitung sebesar Rp 11.062.450.000 tapi tidak bisa memberikan sarana dan prasarana yang layak untuk menunjang proses belajar, dan kami juga mendemoi masa jabatan Rektor Universitas Islam Makassar yang sudah 4 periode, artinya dari semua itulah yang mendorong kita untuk tuntut mencopot jabatan Rektor,” tegasnya.
