Cegah Penularan Covid-19, PPI Tinggimoncong Aksi Bagi Masker

Gowa, Cakrawalaide.com – Sebagai langkah pencegahan penularan virus corona atau Covid-19, Purna Paskibraka Indonesia (PPI), Kecamatan Tinggimoncong, Kabupaten Gowa, melakukan aksi kemanusiaan berupa bagi-bagi masker kepada masyarakat dan pengguna jalan yang melintas di Jl. Andi Mappatangka atau depan SPBU Malino, Sabtu (18/04/2020).
Saat ini penyebaran Covid-19 di Sulawesi Selatan semakin bertambah, khususnya di Kabupaten Gowa. Sesuai data dari Humas Gowa, sudah tercatat 298 sebagai ODP, 128 PDP, dan 23 jumlah Positif. Sementara di Kecamatan Tinggimoncong, tercatat 20 ODP, 1 PDP, dan 0 Positif.
Bakti sosial ini sudah dilakukan selama 4 hari. Adapun dana yang digunakan untuk melaksanakan kegiatan diperoleh dari hasil galang dana PPI dan sumbangan dari masyarakat yang mendukung kegiatan tersebut.
Emal Ahyan, Ketua Umum PPI Kec. Tinggimoncong, mengatakan bahwa kegiatan ini dilaksanakan untuk membantu masyarakat dan pengguna jalan yang tidak memakai masker agar digunakan ketika keluar rumah karena kita ketahui sekarang penyebaran penularan virus ini begitu cepat. Perlu saling jaga diri masing-masing, keluarga, dan orang-orang di sekitar.
“Untuk mengurangi penyebaran virus Corona telah diimbau oleh pemerintah agar selalu memakai masker, maka dari itu kami dari PPI melaksanakan kegiatan bakti sosial dengan memberikan masker kepada masyarakat dan pengguna jalan yang melintas di jalan agar mereka saling menjaga diri dari virus,” ujarnya.
Emal menilai kegiatan ini disambut positif oleh masyarakat karena merasa terbantu dengan adanya bakti sosial ini.
“Saya juga berpesan kepada masyarakat, apabila tidak ada hal yang terlalu penting atau mendesak, sebaiknya tetap di rumah saja agar rantai penularan virus Corona ini cepat terputus,” tambahnya.
Selain itu, Angga Andika, salah satu anggota PPI juga menjelaskan bahwa kegiatan ini dilakukan atas panggilan nurani dan karena sangat prihatin melihat keadaan yang terjadi sekarang. Menurutnya melawan virus ini dan memutuskan rantai penularan bisa dilakukan dengan berdiam diri di rumah.
“Dengan berdiam diri di rumah, penularan virus Corona akan cepat berakhir dan berlalu, terapkan social distancing sesuai dengan anjuran dan himbauan dari pemerintah,” tuturnya
“Kegiatan ini akan dilaksanakan hingga beberapa hari kedepan untuk berjaga-jaga, jangan sampai masih ada masyarakat yang tidak menggunakan masker ketika keluar rumah,” pungkasnya.
