Diklat Jurnalistik Demi Kepekaan Sosial
Gowa, Cakrawalaide.com — Diklat Jurnalistik Tingkat Dasar (DJTD) Unit Penerbitan dan Penulisan Mahasiswa (UPPM) Universitas Muslim Indonesia (UMI) yang ke-25 diikuti sebanyak 75 orang peserta yang terdiri dari mahasiswa dan beberapa LPM di Makassar. Dilaksanakan selama tiga hari, dimulai pada hari Kamis tanggal 20 hingga Sabtu 22 Maret 2014 di rumah adat Luwu, Benteng Somba Opu, Kab. Gowa.
Diklat yang mengusung tema “Langkah Menuju Pers Mahasiswa yang Bebas dan Merdeka” ini merupakan program kerja bidang I pengurus UPPM-UMI periode 2014/2015. Dalam merekrut anggota baru sebagai upaya meregenerasi anggota organisasi serta menjadikan wadah untuk merefleksi nilai-nilai perjuangan Pers Mahasiswa. Sehingga terbentuk kesadaran insan Pers yang berpikir kritis, profesional, militan, bebas dan merdeka.
Ketua panitia DJTD, Dani Ebo mengatakan, peserta diklat diberikan materi-materi terkait materi jurnalistik dan sejarah pers di Indonesia. Tak lupa pula DJTD kali ini, menghadirkan beberapa pemateri yang berkompeten dalam bidang jurnalistik. Selain itu peserta juga diberikan materi pengembangan pisau analisis seperti Advokasi.
“Lewat diklat ini, kami harapkan agar peserta lebih peka terhadap realitas sosial. Kami di UPPM-UMI memberikan ruang dan kesempatan untuk menyalurkan kreatifitas, ide, maupun solusi-solusi dari segala isu dan problematika saat ini,” ungkap Dani.
