KABAMAFAI Pertanyakan Penyelenggaraan KKN Tanpa Pemberian Biaya Operasional untuk Mahasiswa

Makassar, Cakrawalaide.com – Keluarga Besar Mahasiswa Fakultas Agama Islam (KABAMAFAI), Universitas Muslim Indonesia (UMI) menggelar aksi protes terkait penyelenggaraan Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) dimasa pandemi tanpa pemberian uang operasional untuk mahasiswa, di depan Gedung Rektorat UMI, Jl. Urip Sumoharjo, Rabu (4/11/2020).
Buchari selaku jendral lapangan menyampaikan, aksinya bertujuan untuk mempertanyakan tidak adanya biaya operasional yang diberikan kepada mahasiswa yang melakukan KKN dimasa pandemi.
“Sekarang sudah KKN- dimasa Covid-19 angkatan kedua, kita sudah telusuri bahwa KKN angkatan pertama, mereka hanya mendapatkan jaket saja. Bayar Rp 1.300.000 itu hanya mendapatkan jaket, tidak ada biaya operasional KKN. Kami meminta kejelasan terkait kenapa tidak ada biaya transportasi, biaya pembekalan, dan biaya program yang sebelumnya diangkatan 64 (sebelum pandemi) itu ada,” tutur Buchari.
Saat aksi digelar, Prof. Achmad Gani selaku Ketua LPKM UMI pun mendatangi massa aksi dan menyampaikan bahwa LPKM akan memberikan biaya operasional KKN untuk mahasiswa yang melakukan KKN reguler bulan Februari.
Buchari juga berharap agar pihak Rektorat menepati janjinya terkait KKN Reguler Februari nanti, serta diberikannya potongan biaya pembayaran KKN untuk mahasiswa yang melakukan program KKN mandiri.
“Saya berharap pihak rektorat menepati janjinya bahwa bulan dua nanti KKN Reguler sudah kembali seperti angkatan 64, dan kami juga berharap ada potongan biaya KKN untuk mahasiswa yang mengikuti KKN mandiri karena dilihat dari fasilitas yang mereka dapatkan cuma jaket,” harapnya.
Kadir selaku Humas pada aksi ini juga mengatakan akan terus mengawawasi penyelenggaraan KKN yang dilakukan UMI.
“Kami akan terus mengawal pernyataan Prof. Achmad Gani bahwa mahasiswa yang sudah membayar uang KKN dibulan ini, boleh menunda KKN pada semester ini dan mengkuti KKN reguler pada bulan februari nanti,” tambah Kadir.
