Mengawal Putusan, ABM : Ombudsman Harus Objektif

Makassar, Cakrawalaide.com – Aliansi Bela Mahasiswa (ABM) melakukan aksi di depan Kantor Ombudsman Republik Indonesia (RI) perwakilan Sulawesi Selatan (Sul-Sel) untuk memberi penekanan kepada Ombudsman agar objektif dan serius dalam menyelesaikan kasus terkait pengeluaran surat keterangan (SK) Drop Out (DO) sepihak yang dilakukan oleh pimpinan Institut Agama Islam (IAI) Al-Amanah Jeneponto kepada kedua mahasiswanya yaitu Usman dan Muhammad, (Rabu/01/08/21).
Dilayangkannya sebuah SK DO dan skorsing terhadap 3 mahasiswa IAI Al-Amanah Jeneponto, dengan alasan bahwa para mahasiswa tersebut dianggap melawan dan mencemari nama baik kampus. SK DO diberikan kepada orang tua Usman pada Rabu, 4 Agustus 2021 dan yang diketahui bahwa SK DO tersebut telah terbit sejak Senin, 19 juni 2021. Pelayangan SK DO tersebut disebabkan Usman dianggap mencemari nama baik kampus dan dosen. Setelah beberapa waktu sebelumnya diketahui menulis postingan di sosial media berupa sebuah puisi.
“Ombudsman Harus Objektif Menyelesaikan Laporan Kasus Drop Out Usman dan Muhammad dan Laporan Harus Dijalankan Dengan Serius” Itulah tuntutan yang tertulis di spanduk.
Awal yang merupakan kordinator lapangan mengungkapkan bahwa kedatangan mereka untuk memberi penekanan dan meminta tanggung jawab Ombudsman “kedatangan kami kesini ialah untuk meminta keseriusan Ombudsman dalam menyelesaikan kasus kekerasan akademik ini,” ungkapnya.
“Bahwa kasus ini akan menjadi contoh bagi perguruan tinggi untuk secara mudah menjerat mahasiswanya yang kritik terhadap kebijakan kampus. Dan apabila hal ini berhasil kita menangkan, maka akan menjadi referensi pula bagi kita untuk melawan kekerasan-kekerasan akademik yang terjadi kedepannya,“ tambahnya.
Selanjutnya, Usman yang juga mengikuti aksi menjelaskan soal kekecewaannya terhadap pihak kampus yang tidak dempokratis dalam pengambilan keputusan terkait kritik yang dilakukannya bersama Muhammad, “Terimakasih yang sebesar-besarnya dari saya dan Muhammad atas kesedihan kawan-kawan untuk berjuang bersama mengawal pencabut SK DO ini. Saya secara pribadi sangat menyayangkan sikap kampus (IAI) AL-Aamanah yang seenaknya mengeluarkan SK DO kepada mahasiswanya dengan alasan yang tidak jelas. Kenapa saya katakan tidak jelas, karena kampus mengatakan sesuai statuta tapi nyatanya sampai sekarang statuta itu tidak pernah kami lihat, “tegas Usman.
Usman juga menambahkan terkait pemanggilan orang tuanya dan menuduh Usman mencemarkan nama baik kampus melalui puisi yang ia buat, “saya katanya mencemarkan nama baik kampus dan dosen atas puisi yang saya buat, tapi kenapa orang tuaku yang dipanggil untuk jelaskan puisi itu bukan saya. Kemudian, Muhammad yang di DO dengan alasan memukul tapi malah kebalikannya yang terjadi. Sebenarnya Muhammad yang dipukul,” tuturnya.
Bukan tanpa alasan, maraknya kekerasan akademik yang terjadi menjadi ancaman bagi keberlangsungan demokrasi di dalam kampus menjadi ketakutan tersendiri untuk mahasiswa dalam menyampaikan aspirasinya. Sebut saja SK DO dan skorsing kepada empat mahasiswa Institut Agama Islam Muhamadiyah (IAIM) Sinjai, SK DO kepada 28 mahasiswa Universitas Kristen Indonesia (UKI) Paulus, SK DO kepada 11 mahasiswa Sekolah Tinggi Manajemen Informatika dan Komputer AKBA (Stimik AKBA), merupakan beberapa kasus kekerasan akademik yang sampai saat ini tidak menemukan jalan keluar. Selanjutnya, jika kasus yang terjadi di IAI Al-Amanah Jeneponto juga menemui jalan buntu, maka bertambah lagi daftar kasus yang tidak terselesaikan.
Subhan menjelaskan terkait perkembangan laporan yang telah dimasukkan oleh Usman dan Muhammad bahwa pihak Ommbudsman akan menindaklanjuti kasus tersebut, “untuk laporan Usman dan Muhammad, semua sudah kita tangani. Karena pelaporannya yang terpisah, maka perkembangan laporannya pun berbeda. Saat ini laporan usman sudah mendapatkan jawaban dari pihak kampus IAI Al-Amanah berupa klarifikasi, namun belum bisa kami bagikan karena masih membutuhkan beberapa data untuk di verifikasi lebih lanjut,” ungkap ketua Ombudsman RI Sul-Sel.
Pihaknya mengatakan apabila telah rampung akan secepatnya dikirimkan ke pelapor yaitu Usman. Sedangkan Untuk Muhammad sendiri, laporannya sudah terverifikasi dan dinilai layak untuk ditindak lanjuti. “Secepatnya kami dari ombudsman akan mengirimkan permintaan klarifikasi kepada kampus IAI Al-Amanah Jeneponto, dan harapannya semoga pihak pimpinan kampus dapat sesegera mungkin memberikan jawaban supaya kasus ini tidak berlarut-larut dan memakan waktu yang lebih lama.” Tutupnya.
