Milad ke – XI PMTS Makassar, Melestarikan Budaya Suku Makassar

Gowa, Cakrawalaide.com – Dalam upaya melestarikan budaya suku Makassar, Persatuan Mahasiswa Tau Sianakkang (PMTS) Makassar menggelar Milad ke – XI dengan tajuk “Mae Ngasengki Mabbulo Sibatang, Manjarreki Ripangngadakkang, Na Nacini Tau Battua Ta Massing Sipakatau“, Baruga Somba Opu, Sabtu, (12/12/2020).
Okta Adithya selaku Ketua Umum PMTS Makassar menjelaskan, kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk membentuk anggota PMTS Makassar, yang mampu menjadi pelopor, dan inisiator dalam pelestarian kebudayaan suku Makassar.
“Di tengah kemajuan zaman dan perkembangan teknologi, nilai-nilai adat dan budaya mulai terkikis. Oleh karena itu sudah menjadi kewajiban bagi anggota PMTS Makassar, untuk melestarikan budaya dan menjadi inisiator dalam pelestarian kebudayaan suku Makassar,” jelas Mahasiswa Universitas Bosowa tersebut.
Lanjut, Mahasiswa Angkatan 2016 itu juga menambahkan, penurunan nilai-nilai kebudayaan, disebabkan oleh minimnya kesadaran masyarakat, khususnya pemuda terhadap pentingnya melestarikan budaya asli suku Makassar.
“Mereka terbuai oleh kehidupan modern dan mulai melupakan nilai-nilai yang diwariskan oleh para pendahulu. Sebagai contoh, bahasa daerah, upacara budaya, adat dan tradisi suku Makassar yang perlahan terkikis di masyarakat,” tambahnya.
Senada dengan itu, Amal selaku Ketua Panitia menegaskan, sebagai pemuda jangan merasa malu untuk melestarikan budaya suku Makassar. Jangan pula terpengaruh oleh budaya negatif yang tidak sesuai dengan kaidah-kaidah dalam adat-istiadat suku Makassar.
“Jika kita telah kehilangan budaya asli kita, berarti kita telah kehilangan identitas kita sendiri,” tegasnya.
Adapun rangkai acara milad ini, diawali dengan penampilan Angaru dan Tari Paduppa oleh anggota PMTS Makassar sebagai penghormatan kepada hadirin.
Dilanjutkan dengan pembacaan doa dan sambutan oleh Ketua Panitia, Ketua Umum, Badan Penasehat Organisasi dan Majelis Penasehat Organisasi yang sekaligus membuka Acara ini.
Acara ini juga dirangkaikan dengan pemotongan tumpeng oleh pendiri, mempo sibarandengang dengan seluruh anggota PMTS Makassar.
Selain itu, kegiatan ini diisi dengan pentas seni kebudayaan suku Makassar, musikalisasi puisi, tarian topelleleng, melantunkan musik sinrili menggunakan alat musik tradisional keso-keso.
Rangkaian perayaan milad ini dilakukan sebagai bentuk kepedulian, terhadap kebudayaan tradisional suku Makassar yang perlahan telah terkikis oleh zaman.
