MoU AM-UMI Ditolak Rektor

Makassar, Cakrawalaide.com – Peringati Hari Pendidikan Nasional (Hardiknas) Aliansi Mahasiswa  Universitas Muslim Indonesia (AM-UMI) melakukan aksi demonstrasi dengan menuntut Rektor UMI untuk menandatangani Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), di depan ruang Wakil Rektor (WR) III, Kamis (02/05/2019).

Dimana pada aksi tersebut, AM-UMI menuntut revisi buku saku secepatnya dengan mengajukan MoU kepada pimpinan UMI, sebagai persetujuan legal antara dua belah pihak (mahasiswa dan birokrasi).

Rektor mengatakan, bahwa buku saku tersebut adalah buku saku yang bukan produk rezimnya.

“Buku saku itu bukan di periode saya tapi baru sementara kita bicarakan, saya ini baru beberapa bulan di sini, masa semuanya mau saya lakukan,” ujar Basri Modding selaku rektor UMI.

Saat perwakilan mahasiswa mengajukan MoU, rektor UMI menolak untuk bertandatangan. Jendral lapangan aksi mengatakan, bahwa kami menginginkan buku saku direvisi dan menginginkan kepastian dengan bukti tertulis karena kami sudah beberapa kali mendapat pernyataan tapi belum juga direvisi.

“Peraturan UMI Nomor 1 2018 pasal 26, soal pelarangan demonstrasi apabila teman-teman melakukan demonstrasi akan diberikan sanksi  itu persoalan,” ujar Pace.

Lanjut, Ia juga menambahkan tuntutan AM-UMI tersebut sudah menjadi tuntutan saat aksi demonstrasi sebelumnya.

“Kami beberapa kali sudah meminta itu direvisi, bapak WR III sudah memberikan pernyataan akan secepatnya merevisi, sampai hari ini kami belum mendapatkan bukti. Kami dari mahasiswa meminta bukti konkret, meminta pernyataan dari pimpinan bahwa revisi buku saku nomor 1 pasal 26 harus dilaksanakan,” terang Pace selaku jendlap.

Pernyataan tersebut ditanggapi langsung oleh rektor UMI yang ternyata buku saku belum dirinya baca.

“Jadi buku saku itu saya belum baca, saya belum baca kemudian nanti saya baca baru saya sampaikan,” ujar Basri Modding.

Mahasiswa tetap mengajukan MoU tersebut untuk ditandatangani tetapi rektor mengancam mahasiswa dengan surat pengunduran diri apabila mahasiswa tidak mau diatur, beliau tidak ingin dipaksa.

“Kalau tidak mau diatur buatkan saja formulir untuk mengundurkan diri sebagai mahasiswa UMI, jangan dipaksa saya di sini bertanda tangan, jangan paksa saya. Banyak saya urus bukan cuman mahasiswa diurus, seluruh UMI ini saya urus,” tuturnya dengan nada tinggi.
