Cakrawalaide.com – Pembebasan perempuan yang terjadi di Amerika Serikat pasca disahkannya amandemen ke-19 undang-undang tentang keseteraan 1920 undang-undang gerakan yang akhirnya diperingati sebagai hari kesetaraan perempuaan.
Para feminis di Amerika Serikat pada periode tersebut seringkali dibenturkan pada gerakan massa lain untuk memecah solidaritas yang terbangun di bagi gerakan ini.
Gerakan ini perempuan pada periode ini, tidak membutuhkan dukungan secara jumlah massa dilapangan namun lebih memetingkan edukasi kepada banyak orang tentang pentinya kesetaraan perempuaan.
Dalam buku ini terdapat 2 sub bab, pembagiaan pertama yaitu
1.Pembebasan perempuan : melihat revolusi dengan jelas,
2.feminisme kelas dan anarkisme.
Sub bab pertama yaitu, Pembebasan perempuan :
Membahas melihat revolusi dengan jelas, sekitar lima puluh anggota dari kelompok perempuan radikal chicango bertemu pada sabtu, 18 Mei 1968,para aktivis menggunakan istilah ” Women liberation” memahami diri meraka sedang membangun gerakan tergabung dalam beberapa jaringan nasional mahasiswa, hak-hak sipil dan gerakan anti perang. Para aktivis ini sadar bahwa kelompok pembebasan saudara perempuan dengan cepat terbentuk. Gerakan pembebasan perempuan adalah pencetus yang menyalahkan api istilah “pembebasan perempuan”.
Pada 1970, label “pembebasan perempuan” sudah cukup banyak, digantikan oleh feminis radikal,feminis sosialis, feminis lesbian atau hanya feminis.
Di seluruh dunia,gerakan anti perang dan anti kolonia selama 1968 melahirkan aktivisme feminisme di berbagai negara, seperti Jepang, Meksiko, Prancis, Jerman, Italia dan Inggris. Aktivisme feminis ini tidak meniru apa yang terjadi di amerika serikat, setiap negara memiliki sejarah dan akar feminis sendiri, meskipun kisah-kisah pendiriannya sangat mirip. Semua dari mereka berbagi fokus kepada kebebasan pribadi dan kemauaan radikal egaliter untuk menentang setiap bentuk hierarki.
Sub bab kedua membahas tentang feminisme, kelas dan anarkisme.
Masyarakat kapitalisme bergantung pada ekploitasi kelas, meskipun tidak bergantung pada seksisme dan secara teori dapat mengakomodasi sebagiaan besar perlakuaan yang sama terhadap perempuan dan laki-laki, ini jelas kita dapat melihat apa yang telah dicapai perjuangan untuk pembebasan perempuan di masyarakaat di seluruh dunia selama 100 tahun terakhir.
Sangat umum akhir-akhir ini mendengar kritik terhadap feminisme “arus utama atau kelas menengah” dari kaum anarkis atau orang lain tentang revolusioner, bahkan kaum revolusioner tidak terlalu revolusioner. Khusus kaum anarkisme seringkali cepat mengkritik analisis feminis manapun yang tidak memiliki analisis kelas.
Hubungan antara masyarakaat kelas dan dan kapitalisme yaitu dibagi menjadi dua kelas fundamental, kelas kapitalisme (Borjuasi) yang terdiri dari pemilik bisnis besar dan kelas pelerja (ploletariat), yang terdiri dari kurang lebih orang yang bekerja dengan upah.
Hubungan antara seksisme dan kapitalisme, seksime adalah sumber ketidakadilan yang berbeda, perempuan dan laki-laki secara inheren tidak memiliki kepentingan yang bertentangan, kami tidak ingin menghapus jenis kelamin tetapi sebaliknya menghapus kekuasaan yang ada di antara jenis kelamin untuk menciptakan masyarakaat dimana perempuan dan laki-laki dapat hidup secara bebas dan berasma-sama, masyarakat kapitalisme tergantung pada eksploitasi kelas, meskipun tidak tergantung tentang seksisme dan secara teori dapat mengakomodasi besar perlakuan yang sama.
Perjuangan untuk emansipasi perempuan dalam gerakan kelas pekerja, salah satu contoh terbaik tentang bagaimana perjuangan untuk perubahan dapat membawah masyarakat adalah peningkatan besar dalam status, hak dan kualitas hidup perempuan yang telah d capai oleh perempuaan di banyak negara dunia.
Secara historis, perjuangan untuk emansipasi perempuan terlihat jelas dalam gerakan anarkisme dan sosialis lainnya. Namun, secara keseluruhan gerakan cendrung memiliki hubungan agak ambigu dengan pembebasan perempuan dalam perjuangan feminis yang lebih luas. Meskipun sentral bagi anarkisme untuk selalu menjadi penekanan penghapusan semua hierarki kekuasaan, anarkisme berakar pada perjuangan kelas dalam perjuangannya untuk menggulingkan kapitalisme, tujuannya adalah menciptakan masyarakat tanpa kelas karena penindasan perempuan tidak begitu erat terkait dengan kapitalisme sebagai perjuangan kelas.
Pembebasan perempuan secara historis telah dilihat sebagai tujuaan sukender untuk penciptaan masyakaat tanpa kelas. Kekuatan pendorong pembebasan perempuan adalah feminisme, secara umum didokumentasikan dengan baik bahwa perjuangan untuk emansipasi perempuan tidak selalu didukung dan bahwa secara historis perempuan telah menghadapi seksisme dalam organisasi perjuangan kelas, yang menentang seksisme dan berjuang untuk perbaikan kondisi perempuan adalah gerakan gerakan feminis dalam semua ragamnya (kelas menengah, pekerja, sosialis, anarkis).
Seberapa relevan kelas dalam seksisme dengan terus menerus menekankan kelas. Kaum anarkis tampaknya dapat mengabaikan atau mengabaikan hal yang juga benar pengalaman kelas di bedakan berdasarkan jenis kelamin. Masalahnya, ketidakadilan seksisme adalah bahwa ada hubungan yang tak setara antara perempuan dan laki-laki didalam kelas pekerja di seluruh masyarakat. Perempuan dan pria di dunia bersatu melawan seksime, mengingat bahwa satu hal yang sama dimiliki perempuan di berbagai kelas dan budayanya adalah penindasan mereka sampai di taraf tertentu sebagai jenis kelamin. Dapatkah kita menyerukan perempuan dan pria berstau melawan seksisme?
Reformasi bukan reformise,
ada dua pendekatan yang kita dapat ambil untuk feminisme :
kita dapat menjauhkan diri dari feminis lain dengan berfokus pada kritik feminis reformis, atau kita sepenuhnya dapat mendukung perjuangan untuk reformasi feminis sementara kita menginginkan lebih banyak.
Berangkat dari salah satu penulis buku Sata M.Evans mengatakan, “Ya, perempuan marah, sering sangat marah, tetapi kemarahan mereka bukan karena gerakan-gerakan yang lebih buruk dari lingkungannya. Akan tetapi, kemarahan itu ada sebab perempuan sering kali dasari dengan diskriminasi gender dan subordinasi dalam masyrakaat pun seksisme”.
Diskriminasi gender dan subordinasi sering kali kita dapatkan dalam kehidupan sosial pandangan bahwa perempuan memiliki batasan berbeda dengan laki-laki. Contohnya, pada larangan jam malam hanya berlaku untuk perempuan, seringkali ketika didapatkan di pedesaan, perempuan yang keluyuran hingga larut malam bakal mendapat stigma oleh masyrakat yang jadi bahan
Perbincangan. Kemudian ketidakadilan perempuan tidak berhenti dalam batasan itu, ia sering kali menemui di kehidupan pribadinya, sebut saja seksisme, yang dimana perempuan hanya bekerja dirumah, mengurusi anak, memasak dsb dan laki-laki yang bekerja.
Dalam buku ini, jelas tuntutan dan tujuan para feminisme untuk menghapuskan diskriminasi terhadap perempuan, seksime dan menciptakan laki-laki dan perempuan hidup secara bebas.
