Pemecatan Berbuah Kemarahan

Panasnya matahari yang menyengat tak lagi terucap tuk hendak dibicarakan. Dahaga yang mengundang pun telah terabaikan oleh rasa solidaritas demi kemenangan. “Hari ini pers mahasiswa seluruh Makassar marah,” teriak Fahmi dalam orasinya membakar gelora seluruh pengunjuk rasa, Kamis (28/3).

Beranjak pukul 13 : 50 WITA dari sekretariat Unit Penerbitan dan Penulisan Mahasiswa Universitas Muslim Indonesia (UPPM-UMI). Seluruh pengunjuk rasa terus berjalan menuju jembatan flyover, Jl.Urip Sumoharjo sambil menenteng pataka-pataka dan spanduk utama bertuliskan, ‘Kami Bersama Suara USU, Mengecam Pembredelan Suara Usu oleh Rektor Universitas Sumatera Utara’.

Hentakan kaki dan teriakan yang terus bergemuruh, silih berganti tiada hentinya. Puluhan pataka-pataka terus saja terpampang tegak menandakan amarah yang kian membuncah. “Rektor fasis!”, “Rektor takut cerpen!”, “Orang goblok kok bisa jadi Rektor!”, “Rektor watak Orba!”, “pecat Rektor yang sewenang-wenang!”, sorak-sorai seluruh pengunjuk rasa melepas amarah yang tak tertahankan lagi.

Berawal dari cerita pendek (cerpen) karya fiksi yang dimuat suarausu.co berjudul, “Ketika Semua Orang Menolak Kehadiran Diriku Di Dekatnya”. Berujung  hingga sikap Rektor Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), Runtung Sitepu yang menolak kehadiran Suara USU di kampus. Bak sesuatu yang kotor perlu segera dibereskan. Tercerminkan dari tindakan pemecatan kru, pembubaran diskusi, hingga upaya pengusiran paksa yang dilakukan pihak birokrasi kampus terhadap Suara USU.

Kabar mengenai pemecatan 17 kru redaksi Suara USU ibarat air yang mengalir deras hingga menggerakkan apa saja yang dilaluinya. Layaknya keputusan sepihak Runtung Sitepu pun menjadi bahan pembicaraan banyak kalangan, khususnya lembaga-lembaga pers mahasiswa.

Tanggal 25 Maret, propaganda-propaganda penolakan terus membanjiri akun-akun media sosial yang membuat suara gadget tiada hentinya berdering. Grup Perhimpunan Pers Mahasiswa Indonesia (PPMI) Dewan Kota Makassar (DK Mks) waktu itu tak lepas dari pembahasan Suara USU hingga larut malam. Pendiskusian panjang  yang belum menemui titik terang hanya menghasilkan kesepakatan untuk melakukan pertemuan di Unit Kegiatan Pers Mahasiswa Universitas Hasanuddin (UKPM-UH).

Malam yang dinanti pun tiba, wajah-wajah baru mewarnai pertemuan kala itu, Rabu, (27/3). Di bawah pohon rindang, tiap-tiap perwakilan silih berganti menyampaikan pendapatnya. Di tengah diskusi, rintik air menyapu wajah peserta forum yang mulai meninggikan suaranya. Terus berlanjut, kemudian forum dipindahkan ke dalam ruangan seluas 50 meter persegi yang penuh dengan hiasan dinding bernuansa suara-suara aspirasi mahasiswa.

Nampaknya hujan tak mampu lagi menghalangi ithikad solidaritas yang telah lama mati suri. Batu pengganjal telah terlepas menggelindingkan bola api persatuan, bergulir dan terus bergulir semakin membesar. “Ini sangatlah urgent, Suara USU adalah kita”, ujar Fahmi menyambung diskusi.

Konsolidasi yang dihadiri oleh LPM Corong, UPPM-UMI, LPM Metanoiac, KPI UIN Alauddin, LPM Kertas, dan Catatan Kaki-UH menghasilkan kesepakatan untuk menggalang aksi solidaritas ke esokan harinya. Dengan penuh antusias segala persiapan aksi pun dikerjakan hingga fajar menjemput. Rasa lelah terasa hanya sebatas angin lalu, semuanya tebayar dengan kata solidaritas. “Setelah konsolidasi kami langsung lanjutkan pembuatan perangkat aksi hingga jam 4”, “demi Suara USU,” tegas  Ketua Umum UPPM, Muhammad Al-Hasim.

Sebelum turun berunjuk rasa, kabar terbaru pengusiran paksa yang dilakukan oleh birokras kampus kepada Suara USU  tersebar ke dalam grup PPMI DK Mks dan semakin membakar gelora kemarahan seluruh LPM. Ajakan solidaritas pun tak lagi terelakkan hingga diluar ekspektasi, 13 LPM se kota Makassar berkumpul, melangkah, dan berteriak bersama di bawah terik matahari yang menyengat.

”Suara USU mewakili perasaan kita,” ujar Jenlap aksi, Tazzah menegaskan sikap penolakannya terhadap upaya perbudakan brokrasi kampus yang coba mencerabut jiwa kritis Persma. “Atas nama solidaritas yang mulai terbakar melihat satu persatu kawan-kawan kami mati,” ujar Tazzah kembali memberi gambaran kondisi Persma yang kian terancam.

Mengutip perkataan Pramoedya Anantatoer, “Ketika kemanusiaan tersinggung, semua orang yang beperasaan dan berpikiran waras ikut tersinggung, kecuali orang gila dan orang yang berjiwa criminal meskipun dia sarjana.”

“Kami marah dan mengecam tindakan Rektor Universitas Sumatera Utara yang telah melakukan pembredelan terhadap Suara USU,” tutup Fahmi mengakhiri orasinya.

Setelah aksi berlangsung hingga pukul 16 : 21 WITA, kemudian dilanjutkan dengan evaluasi lansung di sekretariat UPPM-UMI. Dari hasil evaluasi, seluruh LPM yang hadir menyepakati untuk tetap mengawal masalah Suara USU dan memperluas lagi solidaritas dari berbagai elemen. “Kedepannya kami akan adakan diskusi publik untuk memperluas simpul gerakan ini,” kata tazzah. “kami tidak akan diam,” tutupnya dengan intonasi yang tegas.
