Pergerakan Pelaut Indonesia Sulsel : Pelaut Anak Tiri Bangsa
Makassar, cakrawalaide.com – Pergerakan Pelaut Indonesia (PPI) Sulsel menyatakan bahwa mereka (Pelaut) seperti dianak tirikan oleh bangsa. Hal tersebut mereka nyatakan dengan menuliskannya pada petaka yang dibawa oleh massa aksi pada saat peringati Hari Buruh di bawah jembatan Fly Over, Rabu (01/05/2019).
Humas PPI, Wahyuddin menjelaskan, bahwa sampai saat ini Pemerintah Daerah maupun Pusat belum memberikan perhatian terhadap permasalahan para pelaut Indonesia. Sehingga, hal tersebut membuat mereka berpikiran kalau mereka dianak tirikan oleh bangsanya sendiri.
“Kami dari pelaut [PPI] mengatakan diri kami bahwa diri kami dianak tirikan di bangsa sendiri sebab sejauh ini, belum ada perhatian dari pemerintah setempat, baik dari pemerintah daerah maupun pemerintah pusat,” ujar Wahyuddin.
Kabid Advokasi Hukum dan Ham Serikat PPI Sulsel itu juga membeberkan beberapa masalah yang dihadapi oleh para pelaut Indonesia, termasuk masalah-masalah di sektor maritime, yaitu pelaut di sektor pelaut niaga, Pemutusan Hak Kerja (PHK), serta kecelakaan kerja. Jadi, mereka sering mendapat beberapa masalah namun sama sekali tak pernah ditanggapi oleh pemerintah. Bahkan, banyak dari anggota pelaut Indonesia yang meninggal di tengah laut karena faktor kecelakaan kerja. Namun dari pihak perusahaan juga tidak memberikan pelayanan yang layak, seperti pengobatan maupun asuransi.
“Kami sering mendapat beberapa masalah. Namun, ketika kami mengadu kepada pemerintah ,kami itu sama sekali tidak ditanggapi,” tambahnya.
Selain itu, para pelaut Indonesia juga mengeluhkan terkait upah yang mereka terima. Sejauh ini, para pelaut Indonesia diberi upah dibawah 1.000.000 rupiah, kadang ada yang 700.000, bahkan ada yang masih 300.000-an. Sedangkan, mereka dididik, disekolahkan dengan biaya yang cukup mahal namun diberi gaji yang tidak layak. Sehingga mereka berharap dikeluarkan UU khusus untuk para pelaut Indonesia.
“Kami meminta kepada pemerintah daerah maupun pemerintah pusat agar menetapkan satu aturan atau UU untuk kami pelaut,” tutupnya.
Tuntutan tahun ini, masih merupakan rangkaian dari tuntutan sebelumnya. Sejak May Day tahun 2015 sampai saat ini mereka masih dengan tuntutan yang sama, dan diangkat sebagai tuntutan pokok pada May Day tahun ini.
“Sebenarnya, tuntutan ini bukan May Day 2019, teman-teman angkat sebagai tuntutan pokok. Tapi, sudah merupakan rangkaian dari May Day sebelumnya. 2015, 2016, 2017 kita masih tetap dengan tuntutan yang sama,” ungkap Ari.
Aliansi Gerak Buruh akan terus berlanjut sampai tuntutan mereka bisa tercapai. Sementara itu PPI juga akan mengupayakan May Day sebagai langkah awal untuk membangun konsolidasi lewat Aliansi Gerak Buruh sebagai satu aliansi yang bisa mempersatukan seluruh kekuatan untuk menyelesaikan masalah dihadapi.
“Soal keberlanjutan tuntutan, harapannya bahwa konsolidasi hari ini gerak buruh sebagai satu aliansi yang bisa mempersatukan seluruh kekuatan yang ada di dalam, harus fokus pada satu isu ini hingga pada upaya-upaya baik dilitigasi maupun non litigasi,” tuturnya.
