Benar bila rindu itu adalah masalah besar,
Buat huru-hara dalam ingatan,
Menawan sunyi dalam jeruji kasar,
Menangis darah menimang bulan.
Lelaki berwajah garang,
Membawa sepucuk senjata lalu melucutinya dengan tembakan tepat sasaran.
Hingga perempuan kunamai rindu mengerang kesakitan.
Sakitnya mengibas senjatanya hingga jalannya sempoyongan.
Jalan dengan selangkangannya yang luka.
Lelaki berwajah garang,
Berjalan menyusuri jalan panjang,
Tiap memandang nampak warung remang-remang sedang takbiran.
Matanya sayup, mengecup bibir yang makin hari makin pahit.
Perempuan kunamai rindu,
Sebentar lagi kan terbuang
Dan malaikat jibril lupa memberi rezeki dari Tuhan.
Lelaki berbulu lebat diwajah datang,
Berdendang ria di atas mimbar dan sajadah panjang,
Jari telunjuknya tak pernah lelah menghakimi salah.
Sementara orang-orang mengaku salah tanpa menimbang-nimbang.
Tapi perempuan yang kunamai rindu bangun dari tidur panjangnya,
Ia lelah semalaman mendengar cerita antara surga dan neraka.
Semua menghakimi satu sama lain,
Lupa mengingatkan dengan jalan lain,
Hidup selalu punya polemik,
Begitu jua rindu selalu bermasalah,
Karna lupa pada pemilik rindu yang sebenar-benarnya.
