Protes Terhadap Pemerintah, Aliansi MAKAR Gelar Aksi Rolling

Makassar, Cakrawalaide.com- Aliansi Mahasiswa Makassar (MAKAR) melakukan aksi rolling ke sejumlah kampus di Makassar hingga ke gedung DPRD Provinsi Sulawesi Selatan dengan membentangkan spanduk sebagai bentuk protes, Kamis (12/08/21).
“PPKM DIPERPANJANG PENGANGGURAN BERKELIARAN BANTUAN DITIADAKAN, ORGANISIR!” Begitulah kalimat protes tertulis di spanduk yang dibentangkan Aliansi MAKAR pada aksi rolling dari sore hingga malam hari.
Anwar yang merupakan salah satu massa aksi, mengungkapkan bahwa pemerintah saat ini telah memperlihatkan kegagapannya dalam menjamin kebutuhan masyarakat, angka kematian yang terus bertambah hingga jumlah pengangguran yang terus meningkat adalah bukti kegagalan pemerintah dalam menangani pandemi.
“Iya, aksi kami kali ini sebagai bentuk protes terhadap sejumlah kebijakan pemerintah yang gagal dalam menangani pandemi Covid-19 dilihat dari meningkatnya angka kematian dan pengangguran,” jelasnya.
Kesenjangan ekonomi yang terjadi hingga sulitnya akses terhadap pendidikan di tengah pandemi dan krisis menjadi fokus masalah yang diangkat oleh Aliansi MAKAR.
“Sekarang masyarakat lagi krisis ekonomi, kelaparan adalah hal yang mutlak terjadi. Toh, PPKM (Pemberlakuan Pembatasan Kegiatan Masyarakat) juga nyatanya tidak menjawab masalah, ditambah sekarang masih tidak adanya kebijakan soal pembebasan biaya pendidikan yang tentunya menjadi beban berat di tengah keluarga yang lagi berjuang bertahan dalam kondisi sulit saat ini,” tambahnya.
Sejak awal virus Covid-19 masuk ke Indonesia pada Maret 2020, angka kematian terus saja bertambah hingga diterapkannya PSBB (Pembatasan Sosial Berskala Besar) sampai sekarang PPKM. Kasus terpapar Covid masih saja meningkat menurut data terakhir worldomaters.info per 11 Agustus 2021 mencapai 3.718.821 kasus dan 110.619 kematian.
Data Covid-19 ini juga berpengaruh pada tingkat pendapatan rumah tangga dalam menyambung hidupnya. Pembatasan mobilitas dan kegiatan masyarakat akibat pandemi Covid-19 di Indonesia juga merupakan instrumen bertambahnya pengangguran serta terjadinya kesenjangan ekonomi di setiap sektor.
Hal ini dapat dilihat dari data Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS), jumlah pengangguran di Indonesia mencapai 8,75 juta orang pada Februari 2021. Jumlah tersebut meningkat 26,26% dibandingkan periode yang sama tahun lalu sebesar 6,93 juta orang.
Total pengangguran yang ada di Indonesia saat ini dapat menjadi basis objektif bahwa masyarakat sudah sangat kesulitan memenuhi kebutuhan mendasarnya, ditambah lagi untuk memikirkan biaya pendidikan yang harus dilunasinya.
Ical yang juga merupakan massa aksi berpendapat, pemberian jaminan kesehatan dan kebutuhan mendasar serta akses pendidikan adalah hal yang harus ditunaikan oleh pemerintah di tengah pembatasan yang diberlakukan.
“Diterapkannya pembatasan sosial namun tidak adanya jaminan materiil yang diberikan kepada masyarakat untuk menyambung hidupnya adalah keadaan yang harus diterima masyarakat hari ini, termasuk jaminan untuk mengakses pendidikan tinggi yang seharusnya menjadi tanggung jawab asali negara,” tutupnya.
