SK Pemberhentian Belum Dicabut, SMB Suara USU Kembali Tuntut Runtung Siteputu
Makassar, Cakrawalaide.com – Solidaritas Makassar Bersama Suara USU kembali menuntut Runtung Sitepu untuk mencabut SK Pemberhentian pengurus Lembaga Pers Mahasiswa (LPM) Suara USU.
Tuntutan ini dilakukan dengan menggelar aksi di depan kampus II UMI, Rabu (21/08/2019). Jendral lapangan (Jendlap), Def mengungkapkan bahwa aksi kali ini untuk mengawal sidang kedua kasus sengketa antara Lembaga Pers Mahasiswa (LPM) Suara USU dengan Rektor Runtung Sitepu yang berlangsung di Pengadilan Tata Usaha Negara (PTUN) Medan.
Menurutnya, dukungan moril diperlukan untuk menggalang solidaritas sebanyak mengkin agar hasil persidangan mampu meberikan rasa keadilan.
“Aksi kami sengaja dilaksanakan hari ini, karena bertepatan dengan sidang kedua kasus LPM Suara USU di Pengadilan Tata Usaha Negara (PTUN) Medan. Ini merupakan bentuk dukungan kami terhadap kawan-kawan pers mahasiswa yang rawan direnggut kebebasan berekspresinya,” ungkapnya.
“Tuntutan kami masih sama, yakni meminta Runtung Sitepu untuk segera mencabut SK Pemberhentian pengurus LPM Suara USU. Dan kami berharap bahwa hasil persidangan di PTUN Medan mampu memberikan rasa keadilan,” tambahnya.
Seperti yang diketahui bahwa, upaya pencabutan SK pemberhentian sudah dilakukan oleh pengurus LPM Suara USU sejak dikeluarkannya surat tersebut pada (25/3/2019) hingga hari ini.
Affif selaku peserta aksi menuturkan bahwa pemecatan yang dilakukan oleh Runtung Sitepu merupakan bentuk pelanggaran hak asasi manusia karena membatasi kebebasan berekspresi dan berpendapat.
“Pemecatan yang dilakukan oleh Runtung Sitepu sangat mencederai hak asasi manusia karena membatasi kebebasan berekspresi dan berpendapat. Selain itu, Runtung Juga cenderung diskriminatif terhadap teman-teman kelompok rentan,” tuturnya.
“Ini adalah bentuk solidaritas kami terhadap pembungkaman demokrasi, dan bentuk komitmen kami untuk terus memperjuangkan demokrasi dan hak asasi manusia” tutupnya.
