Tuntut Perbaikan Internal Kampus, Mahasiswa Teknik UMI Menggelar Unjuk Rasa

Makassar, Cakrawalaide.com -Sejumlah Mahasiswa Teknik, Universitas Muslim Indonesia (UMI) yang tergabung dalam Aliansi Mahasiswa Teknik melancarkan aksi unjuk rasa di pelataran Fakultas Teknik, Jum’at (26/08/2022).
Aksi yang bertajuk Teknik Menggugat dihadiri sekitar puluhan mahasiswa yang menuntut adanya perbaikan di berbagai sektor internal kampus UMI.
Gandang, selaku jendral lapangan mengungkapkan desakan ke pihak birokrasi untuk mengusut tuntas praktik pungli, transparansi anggaran, dan juga kepada bidang akademik fakultas teknik untuk menata ulang waktu aktivitas akademik.
“Kemarin hasil konsolidasi, grand isunya itu ‘Teknik Mengunggat’ dari grand isu tersebut ada 3 tuntutan yaitu ; usut tuntas praktik pungli, mendesak pihak fakultas untuk melakukan transparansi anggaran dan mendesak bidang akademik fakultas teknik untuk menata ulang waktu aktivitas akademik,” ungkapnya.
Ia juga menambahkan, demonstrasi kali ini sebagai pemantik untuk fakultas lain sama-sama peduli dengan kondisi internal kampus.
“Saya berharap aksi kali ini sebagai pantikan kepada mahasiswa fakultas lain. Kita kembali ke kampus, kita perbaiki internal,” lanjutnya.
Ilil yang merupakan massa aksi juga mengungkapkan harapannya agar dekan fakultas teknik mau audiensi dan memberikan solusi yang jelas terkait tuntutan aliansi mahasiswa teknik.
“Saya berharap besar terkhusus nya kepada dekan fakultas teknik kemudian bisa menjawab dan beraudiensi bersama kami untuk melakukan sosialisasi tentang yg kami tuntut, dan bagaimana kejelasan nya memberikan solusi tentang apa yang kami tuntut,” harapnya.
Berdasarkan press release, Aliansi Mahasiswa Teknik juga Mengunggat kampus UMI untuk menata ulang aktivitas akademik karena:
1. Sistem kuliah online tidak efektif sehingga membuat mahasiswa sulit untuk memahami materi yang diberikan tenaga pengajar.
2. Kurangnya waktu interaksi serta durasi yang terbatas.
