AMU : Tolak Kenaikan BBM, Kembalikan Kedaulatan Rakyat

Makassar, Cakrawalaide.com – Aliansi Mahasiswa UMI (AMU) masih konsisten melakukan aksi demonstrasi penolakan kenaikan bahan bakar minyak (BBM) di depan kampus Universitas Muslim Indonesia (UMI) jalan Urip Sumoharjo kota Makassar, Sulawesi Selatan, kamis (08/09/2022).
Fattah selaku jenderal lapangan( jenlap), Aliansi Mahasiswa UMI (AMU) menerangkan bahwa AMU akan tetap melakukan perlawanan terkait kenaikan BBM dikarenakan kenaikan bbm ini sangat mencekik untuk masyarakat utamanya masyarakat menengah kebawah.
“Kenapa kita tetap menjaga konsistensi ritme pergerakan mahasiswa Umi yang pertama, karena dampak dari pada kenaikan harga BBM ini sangat besar terutama di masyarakat menengah kebawah yang seperti bahan pokok, nelayan yang tidak bisa pergi kembali lagi mencari nafkahnya karena dampak dan keadaan dari kenaikan harga BBM,” ucapnya.
Fattah juga menambahkan selanjutnya akan membentuk aliansi yang lebih besar lagi agar bisa menekan pemerintah setempat dan berdampak kepusat agar harga BBM bisa normal kembali.
“Langkah selanjutnya kita akan membentuk aliansi yang lebih besar, mungkin kedepannya kita akan membentuk aliansi se-Makassar atau se-Indonesia timur untuk bagaimana kita menekan pemerintah setempat supaya ada dampaknya kepusat supaya harga BBM itu kembali dinormalkan atau diturunkan kembali,” tegasnya.
Lebih lanjut, Ila (bukan nama yang sebenarnya) salah satu massa aksi yang memutuskan untuk bergabung dalam aksi karena dia juga selain sebagai massa aksi ia juga adalah orang yang terkena dampak akan kenaikan bbm saat ini.
“Kenapa itu akhirnya saya memutuskan ketika teman-teman aliansi memanggil saya untuk tergabung dalam aksi penolakan kenaikan bahan bakar minyak, karna itu saya sendiri mahasiswa dan saya juga rakyat. Ikut merasakan dampaknya kenaikan bahan bakar ini,” katanya ketika di wawancara awak CakrawalaIde.
“Sedangkan keresahan saya sebagai masyarakat sekaligus rakyat, ini juga berdampak dengan bahah-bahan pokok. Dan bukan hanya itu, seolah memberikan solusi kepada masyarakat tetapi malah itu ujung-ujungnya rakyat tertindas atas kenaikan bbm ini. Karena seperti yang kita liat banyak mahasiswa turun aksi dan banyak juga rakyat yang merasa mengeluh kalau mereka tidak mampu. Terutama orang yang aktivitasnya lekat dengan kendaraan semisal itu ojol atau pete-pete,” lanjutnya.
Ila berharap kedepannya agar pemerintah mendengarkan aspirasi dari mahasiswa dan masyarakat luas agar bisa mengubah harga BBM supaya kembali normal seperti semula.
“Jadi kalau harapannya yah itu, semoga dari aksinya mahasiswa di seluruh Indonesia bukan hanya di Makassar, bisa didengarkan oleh pemerintah walaupun pada akhirnya tidak langsung diturunkan tapi setidaknya bisalah pemerintah lihat. Bahwa ternyata dengan adanya kebijakan yang mereka keluarkan itu justru menindas rakyatnya. Bukan malah memberikan solusi, tapi pemerintah bisa mendengar keresahan yang mahasiswa dan masyarakat luas,” harapnya
Dalam selebarannya, alasan pemerintah tidak berdasar kepada kepentingan rakyat, dengan dalih BBM sebagai beban keuangan negara. Oleh karena itu Aliansi Mahasiswa UMI, menolak kenaikan BBM dan kembalikan kedaulatan rakyat.
