Musyawarah Kerja XIII HIMITEKINDO UMI: Krisis Iklim Bagi Sektor Kelautan

Makassar, Cakdawalaide.com – Himpunan Mahasiswa Ilmu dan Teknologi Kelautan Indonesia (HIMITEKINDO) Universitas Muslim Indonesia (UMI) melaksanakan Seminar Nasional dan Musyawarah Kerja Nasional KE-XIII di Auditorium Al-Jibra, Kampus II, Universitas Muslim Indonesia, Selasa (20/9/2022).
Kegiatan ini mengangkat tema “Lautan Masa Depan” mengkaji isu dampak krisis iklim terhadap lautan dan perikanan. Dihadiri oleh pembicara nasional dan peserta dari kampus se-Indonesia.
Sahrul selaku ketua panitia mengatakan, kegiatan musyawarah kerja nasional mengkaji tentang penanggulangan terhadap krisis iklim di sektor perikanan dan kelautan.
“Tema dari kegiatan ini dampak krisis iklim di sektor kelautan dan perikanan, jadi, kegiatan ini mengkaji tentang penanggulangan perikanan itu sendiri terhadap krisis iklim,” katanya.
Karla selaku Ketua Himpunan Mahasiswa Ilmu Kelautan mengungkapkan mahasiswa ilmu kelautan harus terus berinovasi agar generasi selanjutnya dapat menikmati kekayaan segala ekosistem lautan.
“Kita sebagai mahasiswa ilmu kelautan harus terus berinovasi agak anak cucu kita dapat menikmati kekayaan seluruh ekosistem lautan,” ungkapnya.
Sekjend Himpunan Mahasiswa Ilmu dan Teknologi Kelautan Indonesia (HIMITEKINDO) Jani, ia berharap dengan kegiatan ini dapat menghasilkan ide atau gagasan untuk membangun wilayah laut indonesia.
“Dengan adanya seminar nasional dilanjutkan dengan musyawarah kerja nasional dapat menghasilkan ide-ide atau gagasan yang kedepannya untuk membangun wilayah kelautan kita sendiri, balik lagi merupakan tugas dan fungsi himitekindo itu sendiri,” tutupnya.
