Makassar,Cakrawalaide.com- Aliansi Bara-Baraya kembali bersatu dalam lingkar perjuangan, sebagai bentuk perlawanan terhadap mafia tanah serta perampasan ruang hidup yang sejak tahun 2017 belum terselesaikan. Agenda bertajuk “Festival Anti Penggusuran” ini dihadiri oleh individu maupun kolektif tepat di depan posko Bara-Baraya Bersatu, Jl. Abu Bakar Lambogo, Minggu (08/05/2022)
Dalam kutipan Instagram @barabarayya.bersatu menerangkan, Bara-Baraya adalah saksi bahwa penggusuran bukan tragedi yang harus diterima begitu saja. Lebih baik berkalang tanah dalam mempertahankan ruang hidup dibanding kehilangan tanah. Perjuangan itu dilalui dengan semangat memberontak yang salah satunya menempuh jalur hukum, upaya perlawanan warga tak kunjung surut.
“Bara-Barayya adalah saksi bahwa penggusuran bukanlah tragedi mutlak yang harus diterima begitu saja, Bara-Barayya bukti bahwa perjuangan adalah proses yang penjang dengan semangat memberontak.”
Berdasarkan Press release, peristiwa kebakaran di Bara-Baraya sepekan sebelum festival, juga merupakan buntut dari perlawanan mafia tanah Ahmad A. Umar selaku aktor lapangan karena keterdesakan menjadi salah satu alternatif akhir untuk menggusur warga, daripada bergulir kembali ke pengadilan yang memakan waktu lama.
“Hari ini, belum genap sepekan sejak peristiwa kebakaran di Bara-Barayya, Tekad dan kegigihan perlawanan warga yang tak kunjung surut tentu membuat Ahmad A. Umar, selaku aktor lapangan pihak lawan, semakin terdesak. Oleh karena itu, warga mengganggap kebakaran menjadi alternatif akhir untuk menggusur warga daripada bergulir kembali ke pengadilan yang akan memakan waktu lama.”
Dalam press release juga menerangkan, warga bergeming, api keserakahan yang berkobar di Bara-Baraya hanya menghanguskan rumah dan harta benda, sama sekali tidak menyentuh semangat dan tekad warga yang berjuang mempertahankan hak atas tanah dan ruang hidup.
“Akan tetapi warga bergeming,
api keserakahan hanya mampu menghanguskan rumah dan harta benda warga, tetapi sama sekali tidak dapat menyentuh semangat serta tekad warga yang berjuang mempertahankan hak atas tanah dan ruang hidup mereka.”
