Kuliah Umum FEB UMI Dihadiri Perwakilan Gubernur Sulsel Bicara PMA Nikel di Luwu Timur

Makassar, Cakrawalaide.com – Keputusan untuk tidak melanjutkan kontrak dan mengambil alih perusahaan Penanaman Modal Asing (PMA) Nikel di Luwu Timur akan memberikan dampak positif bagi perekonomian Sulawesi Selatan, di mana pendapatan Provinsi akan bertambah.
Hal ini diungkapkan oleh dr. H. Andi Mappatoba, M.B.A., DTAS., Staf Ahli Gubernur Sulawesi Selatan Bidang Ekonomi, Pembangunan, dan Keuangan pada Kuliah Umum “Ekonomi Kreatif & Digitalisasi” yang diadakan oleh Fakultas Ekonomi dan Bisnis Universitas Muslim Indonesia (UMI) di Auditorium Al-Jibra Kampus II UMI Makassar, Kamis, 29 September 2022 ini.
Namun dalam pengelolaannya Pemprov Sulawesi Selatan memiliki tugas besar untuk pembiayaan modal awal, lanjutnya.
Menyinggung mengenai pro dan kontra perpanjangan kontrak PT Vale Indonesia Tbk di Luwu Timur tersebut, dia secara tegas mengungkapkan bahwa ada 11 alasan mengapa kerja sama itu tidak dilanjutkan.
“Salah satu di antaranya adalah pengelolaan lahan yang kurang produktif,” kata Andi Mappatoba.
Andi Mappatoba hadir mewakili Gubernur Sulawesi Selatan Andi Sudirman Sulaiman, S.T. yang batal hadir pada kuliah umum ini.
Dia memaparkan materi terkait perkembangan pembangunan infrastruktur maupun perekonomian Sulawesi Selatan yang mengalami peningkatan, disertai dengan penurunan jumlah Desa Tertinggal dan penurunan jumlah anak penderita stunting (tengkes).
Mantan Dirut RSUD Labuang Baji ini memotivasi seluruh peserta kuliah umum yang dihadiri para mahasiswa baru Fakultas Ekonomi dan Bisnis UMI Makassar untuk terus berinovasi. “Mahasiswa tidak hanya belajar melulu,” tuturnya menyemangati para peserta kuliah umum.
Selain Staf Ahli Gubernur Sulsel, tampil pula dua pembicara lainnya, Dr. Risna Triandhari, S.E., M.S.E. dari Universitas Indonesia dan Prof. Dr. Mursalim Laekkeng, ASEAN CPA (Dekan FEB UMI).
