KWTH Semangat Baruga Olah Tanaman Jahe Menjadi Jantanma

Makassar, Cakrawalaide.com- Kelompok Wanita Tani Hutan ( KWTH) Semangat Baruga mengembangkan tanaman jahe menjadi produk jahe instant Mallawa (JANTANMA’) yang di produksi pertama kali pada tahun 2019 ini sangat membantu perekonomian masyarakat di desa Barugae, Kecamatan Mallawa, Kabupaten Maros. (28/05/22).
Nurlaila selaku ketua KWTH mengungkapkan awal terbentuknya jahe instan ini karena melihat potensi jahe yang melimpah di desa Barugae tetapi berbenturan dengan harga jahe yang anjlok.
”Pertama pada saat semua desa itu di tuntut untuk harus ada inovasi desa, nah saya liat di desa Barugae itu potensinya jahe, namun pada saat itu harga jahe anjlok nah kita berpikir bagaimana supaya agar harga jahe itu meningkat nah kita buat inovasi buat jahe instant, yang awalnya kami hanya mengemas dengan kemasan biasa kemudian kami di bantu oleh Taman Nasional untuk membuat kemasan yang lebih menarik dan juga di tambah dengan pelatihan membuat jahe instan di kantor desa “, ungkapnya.
Saat ini pengembangan jahe yang di lakukan oleh KWTH itu terus berkembang selain jahe instant, kopi jahe dan permen jahe.
”saat ini kami memproduksi jahe instant dengan varian pakai gula merah ada pakai gula putih, kemudian ada kopi jahe juga ada 2 varian ada pake creamer dan original, dan kemudian kami juga sudah pelatihan membuat permen jahe tapi kami belu pasarkan. Hanya jahe instant dan kopi jahe yang saat ini kami pasarkan”, lanjut Nuraila.
Aso selaku pemuda di desa Barugae menanggapi usaha tersebut sangat mendukung karena mendukung UMKM lokal dan membantu perekonomian di desa Barugae.
”Tanggapan saya mengenai usaha KWTH yang ada di barugae yang bernama KWTH Semangat Baruga yah sangat positif karena mendukung UMKM lokal dan memberi aktivitas bermanfaat untuk ibu-ibu serta emasipasi wanita terlihat jelas di sini bukan hanya dominasi perempuan itu memasak di dapur apa dan sebagainya tetapi memberikan dampak postif untuk keberlangsungan ekonomi yang ada di desa Barugae begitupun apabila produk pemasaran produk ini berhasil yah kita mampu mengelola otonomi desa dan mampu mengelola ekonomi masyarakat yang ada di desa Barugae”, pungkasnya.
Lanjut menanggapi A. Firdaus selaku kepala desa Barugae juga sangat mendukung usaha KWTH tersebut karena membantu pereknomian masyarakat di saat harga jahe anjlok.
”Kami selaku pemerintah sangat merespon dengan adanya kelompok wanita tani hutan ini karena sangat membantu petani terutama pada pasaran jahe karena harga anjlok pada saat itu bahkan tidak mau laku namun, dengan adanya produk jahe instant ini maka kita itu tidak terpengaruh oleh keadaan itu artinya bahkan tetap eksis di pasaran dengan adanya inovasi ini.

Anggota KWTH Semangat Baruga saat ini berjumlah 37 orang, namun ada 40 orang yang memproduksi jahe instan ini namun mereka yang bukan anggota anggota KWTH bisa memproduksi aturan dari KWTH itu sendiri. Saat ini produk jahe ini memiliki rata rata penjualan 1000 sachet per minggu dan di tambah lagi KWTH Semangat Baruga telah mendapatkan penghargaan dalam apresiasi desa binaan Taman Nasional dengan berhasil menyabet juara 1 di Lombok pada tahun 2021 .Sejalan dengan prestasi itu pemasaran produk ini telah terjual ke beberapa daerah yakni Makassar, Bone, Gowa bahkan sampai luar pulau seperti ke Kalimantan, dan Jawa.
Nuraila mengharapkan agar usaha KWTH ini dapat bertahan bahkan lebih berkembang lagi.” Harapan dari saya mudah mudahan ini bisa di pertahankan kualitasnya, lebih berkembang juga ke depan karena terus terang ini jahe sangat membantu perekonomian masyarakat di desa Barugae dan tetap berlanjut kita bertahan di pasaran”, terangnya.

”Harapan kami bagaimana produk ini bertahan di pasaran dan bersaing bahkan lebih meningkat lagi,kami selaku pemerintah memberikan bantuan ke bumdes dengan penyertan modal 100 juta untuk pembelian jahe instant ini dan pengemasan sekaligus memasarkan supaya petani tidak capek lagi mencari pemasaran sendiri jadi cukup memproduksi saja dan bumdes yang mengemas dan memasarkan sehingga masyarakat betul betul merasa bahwa dengan adanya produk ini inovasi ini bisa membantu perekonomian mereka “, tutupnya.
