Memperingati Hari Perempuan sedunia, Fosis Gelar Diskusi Trotoar

Makassar, Cakrawalaide.com – Forum Studi Isu-Isu Strategis (FOSIS) Universitas Muslim Indonesia (UMI) menggelar diskusi trotoar memperingati hari Internasional Women’s Day di pelataran Fakultas Ilmu Komputer (Fikom) Universitas Muslim Indonesia (UMI). Senin, (07/03/2022)
Diskusi tersebut berteman gender dan seksualitas yang diisi oleh dua orang pemantik yakni Nabila Syadza, salah satu aktivis perempuan yang aktif menyuarakan isu-isu perempuan dan Eman Memay, komunitas Sehati Makassar yang juga aktif menyuarakan isu-isu keberagaman gender.
Nabila Syadza atau kerab disapa Sasa menyampaikan perkara-perkara sosial terutama terkait kekerasan seksual, orientasi seks dan gender penting untuk didiskusikan, lantaran sebagai pertarungan sosial yang paling mendasar.
“Membicarakan masalah sosial terutama kekerasan seksual, orientasi seks, gender dan lain sebagainya penting dan tidak luput harus dibicarakan,” ucap Sasa.
Lebih lanjut, Lala (anonim) salah satu peserta diskusi menungkapkan dari pembahasan materi oleh pemantik, identias gender tidak didasarkan pada komposisi sosial berbasis stigma pada masyarakat, tetapi setiap orang bebas menentukan pilihannya sendiri.
“Dari pemaparan diskusi oleh pemantik, identitas gender itu nyamannya seseorang, dia bebas menentukan pilihannya bukan ditentukan oleh masyarakat atau konstruk sosial,” ungkapnya.
Lebih lanjut, Lala (anonim) berharap diskusi tersebut mengajak teman-teman mengatasi akar dari permasalahan dimulai dari evaluasi diri masing-masing pribadi dan saling memahami kesetarakan gender, sehingga menciptakan ruang aman bagi makhluk hidup.
Diakhiri pendiskusian FOSIS UMI menambahkan rangkaian diskusi selanjutnya masih dalam rangka merayakan Internasional Women’s Day akan membuka ruang-ruang diskusi mengangkat beberapa tema diantaranya:
1. Rabu, 09 Maret 2022 Nobar film
2. Kamis, 10 Maret 2022 Diskusi: Memahami Consent dalam relasi
3. Jumat, 11 Maret 2022 Beda buku
