Peringati Amarah, AM UMI Adakan Do’a Bersama di Kuburan
Makassar, Cakrawalaide.com – Sejumlah mahasiswa Universitas Muslim Indonesia (UMI) yang tergabung dalam Aliansi Mahasiswa UMI, selain menggelar sholat gaib di depan kampus II UMI, mereka juga mengunjungi kuburan atau berziarah ke makam salah satu korban tragedi Amarah 23 tahun silam, Rabu (24/04/2019)
Setelah kegiatan solat gaib, massa aksi longmarch menuju Makam Pahlawan dimana tempat salah satu korban di semayamkan, yakni Alm Tasrif.
Menurut jendral lapangan, ziarah dimaksudkan sebagai bentuk ritual keagamaan untuk mendoakan keselamatan korban.
“Saya pikir itu merupakan salah satu varian aksi yang baik, karena disatu sisi kita tetap mengingat soal keagamaan untuk mendoakan keselamatan korban dan menurutku itu perlu dan bagus karena teman-teman serius untuk mendoakan,” ungkap Dafa.
Setelah memanjatkan doa, kemudian dilanjutkan dengan tabur bunga yang secara bergantian mewakili masing-masing organ yang tergabung dalam aliansi.
Senada dengan Dafa, Ayu yang juga merupakan salah satu massa aksi mengatakan, bahwa ziarah kubur adalah salah satu bentuk penghargaan terhadap pejuang 1996 yang menandakan bahwa mereka selalu ingat hal tersebut.
“Dengan ziarah ini kita mendoakan mereka yang telah meninggal dan supaya mereka tau kita tetap mengingat perjuangannya meskipun telah hampir 23 tahun berlalu,” pungkas Ayu.
Ayu juga menambahkan, harapannya agar peringatan Amarah ditahun-tahun yang akan datang tetap seperti ini, tidak ada kekacauan atau gerakan lainnya yang justru merugikan mahasiswa itu sendiri.
“Saya berharap peringatan Amarah akan seperti ini terus, selain kita menghargai dan menolak lupa, kita juga mendoakan korban 1996 yang telah gugur saat memperjuangkan hak-hak rakyat serta berharap agar Aliansi Mahasiswa UMI ini tidak hanya bersatu ketika ada momentum penting, tetapi kita harus bersatu melawan kebijakan kampus yang otoriter dan anti kritik,” tutup Ayu.
