Malam Hari, Polisi Dilibatkan Usir Mahasiswa dari Kampus UMI
Makassar, Cakrawalaide.com – Beberapa staf kemahasiswaan Universitas Muslim Indonesia (UMI) bersama polisi lakukan penyisiran di dalam kampus dan mengusir mahasiswa yang sedang berada di sekretariat Unit Kegiatan Mahasiswa (UKM) dan Badan Eksekutif Mahasiswa (BEM) serta lembaga mahasiswa lainnya.
Mahasiswa yang tengah berkumpul dan diskusi di halaman sekretariat mereka, tetiba dikagetkan dengan kedatangan sejumlah orang yang turun dari mobil polisi, Selasa (26/11), sekitar pukul 21.30 Wita.
“Kami sedang duduk-dudukji sambil cerita, baru datang mereka naik mobil polisi kemudian turun dan langsung suruh keluar kampus, kosongkan sekretariat,” ungkap Iqra, selaku ketua UKM Taekwondo UMI.
Dari pantauan Cakrawalaide.com, setidaknya ada 5 orang yang merupakan anggota Resmob Polsek Panakukang bersama staf kemahasiswaan dan kepala keamanan kampus mendatangi tiap-tiap sekretariat. Sekitar 5 orang lagi sedang berjaga di gerbang kampus.
“Semalam itu ada total 10 anggota polisi dari Resmob Panakukang,” terang Syamsir Koordinator keamanan UMI saat ditemui di ruangannya.
Menurut Syamsir, kehadiran polisi di kampus adalah permintaan pihak pimpinan universitas dan guna mengantisipasi tindakan mahasiswa yang sudah tidak bisa ditolerir.
“Kita libatkan kepolisian, bukan berarti kita mau apa sama mahasiswa. Polisi cuma mem-backup kita,” tukasnya.
Salah satu anggota UKM KSR PMI UMI menyayangkan masuknya aparat kepolisian untuk mengusir mahasiswa dari kampus, pasalnya kondisi malam itu tidak ada indikasi terjadinya ancaman apapun.
“Mereka bilang kalau tidak mau keluar nanti kami yang sapu!” tutur Boy menirukan bahasa yang keluar dari salah satu oknum polisi.
