AMARAH Dalam Cengkraman Kuasa Birokrat Kampus
“Sejarah Berulang Pada Dirinya Sendiri, Pertama Sebagai Tragedi, Kedua Sebagai Lelucon (Karl Marx)”
Tidak terasa momentum sejarah terbesar April Makassar Berdarah (Amarah) memasuki H-2, siapkah kita memperingati hal tersebut, ataukah kita justru terpecah – pecah dikarenakan ego lembaga kemahasiswaan yang justru membuat kita tidak mampu membedakan antara kawan dan lawan.
Berbicara tentang Amarah bukanlah hanya sebuah momentum semata, tapi merupakan peristiwa perlawanan mahasiswa atas kesewenang – wenangan pemerintah terhadap masyarakat kecil, serta memperalat Militer sebagai tempat berlindung dari aturan yang dikeluarkan. Tak hanya itu kekerasan menjadi alat legitimasi dalam mempertahankan kekuasaan yang dilakukan Orba.
Dari Angkutan Kota Menjadi Ambulance
Dikeluarkannya SK nomor 900/tahun 1996 tentang kenaikan angkutan kota sebesar 65 – 70% Rp.300 menjadi Rp.500, dari ketentuan menteri perhubungan sebesar 33,3%, dari SK yang dikeluarkan lahirlah malapetaka yang merenggut 3 nyawa mahasiswa Universitas Muslim Indonesia (UMI) yakni; Saiful Bya (Fakultas Teknik), Andi Sultan Iskandar (Fakultas Ekonomi), Tasrif (Fakultas Ekonomi). Ketiga mahasiswa yang menjadi korban ini yang sejatinya menimbah ilmu, namun semuanya sirnah tatkala tank – tank beserta kawanan manusia biadab, yang merubah kampus hijau menjadi merah menggunakan popor senjata, dan sepatu laras melayang ketubuh makhluk intelektual. Ketiga korban ditemukan tidak bernyawa di aliran kanal pampang dengan luka hantaman benda keras di sekujur tubuhnya.
Kampus (Barak Baru Militer)
“Serdadu seperti peluru,tekan picu melesat tak ragu,” lantunan lagu Iwan Fals tersebut sangat melekat pada kejadian AMARAH, dimana para cukong – cukong (Tentara) tidak ragu untuk melakukan sesuatu atas dasar hasrat ingin menguasai. Meski di dalam kampus sekalipun , para tentara tak pernah malu untuk menjadikannya medan perang, melawan kaum pelajar yang notabenenya bersenjatakan akal sehat dan pena. Hal tersebut memaksa mahasiswa agar melawan tentara yang tentunya menggunakan senjata yang dibeli dari hasil bayar pajak mereka, yang juga digunakan untuk membungkam dan menindas mereka.
Tak hanya itu mereka (Militer) juga memblokade kampus, dan melarang aktifitas belajar mengajar (Baca : Cakrawala.ide Edisi tahun 2000), entah dengan maksud apa, seharusnya para tentara berada di barak mereka masing – masing menjaga kedaultan Negara Republik Indonesia (NKRI). Otoritarian Soeharto memang tak pandang bulu dalam menjaga status quo pada saat itu. kebebasan manusia sebagai makhluk berakal hanya dijadikan lelucon belaka bagi Fasisme Soeharto beserta para anjing – anjing yang haus akan darah dan kekuasaan.
Kemesraan Militer, Polisi, dan Pihak Kampus Dalam Upaya Pembungkaman Demokrasi
Pertama – tama mari kita menundukkan kepala sejenak agar kita tak lupa akan kekejaman mereka (Militer) pada Amarah pada tahun 1996, serta janganlah pernah bermimpi TNI akan meminta maaf kepada mahasiswa UMI, dikarenakan mereka hanya meminta maaf kepada birokrat kampus, juga membangun pagar – pagar dan pendaratan helikopter di kampus hijau sebagai upaya mereka menutupi kekejaman mereka pada 1996 yang merenggut 3 kawan kita. Juga tak ada upaya yang dilakukan kampus dalam mendalami kasus tersebut, malah mereka juga yang membantu para Militer untuk menutup – nutupi kasus ini dengan memberikan ancaman sanksi skorsing/Drop Out kepada mahasiswa yang melakukan unjuk rasa pada 24 April.
Seperti yang tercantum pada surat edaran nomor 1161/F.01/UMI/IV/2019 yang berisi larangan memperingati Amarah dan akan memberikan sanksi skorsing jikalau memperingati, hal serupa juga terdapat pada pasal 26 (larangan mahasiswa) dalam buku saku yang dikeluarkan kampus untuk mahasiswa baru tahun ajaran 2018/2019. Ini tentu sangatlah bertentangan dengan pasal 28E ayat (3) UUD 1945 yang menyatakan, “Setiap orang berhak atas kebebasan berserikat, berkumpul, dan mengeluarkan pendapat”.
Kemerdekaan mengemukakan pendapat merupakan sebagian dari hak asasi manusia. Oleh sebab itu, dijamin oleh Deklarasi Universal Hak – Hak Asasi Manusia PBB, tegasnya dalam pasal 19 dan 20. Namun pihak kampus UMI tidak menjalankan amanat UUD, hal tersebut dibuktikan dengan pelarangan yang dilakukan pihak kampus kepada mahasiswa untuk tidak melakukan aksi demonstrasi di depan kampus dengan dalil akan merusak citra kampus.
Tak hanya sampai disitu, UMI dan Militer makin mesra dengan penanda tanganan Momerandum Of Understanding (MoU) yang ditanda tangani Panglima Kodam VII Wirabuana, Mayjen TNI Muhamad Nizam. Acara penandatangan MoU dilaksanakan di Aula Hijaz Fakultas Hukum UMI pada 6 Mei 2012 yang berisikan kerja sama dalam bidang budidaya ikan lele.
UMI juga menjalin kerja sama dengan POLDA Sulsel dalam bidang pengamanan, terkhususnya dalam pengamanan ketika para mahasiswa melakukan aksi demonstrasi dan memperingati Amarah tiap tahunnya, jejeran Polisi bersenjata lengkap kerap kali menduduki pos – pos satuan pengamanan, hal tersebut tentu saja membatasi para mahasiswa untuk menyuarakan aspirasinya.
