Himikom UMI Usung Tema Karya dan Transformasi Digital Pada Dikom Vol IX

Makassar, Cakrawalaide.com- Himpunan Mahasiswa Ilmu Komunikasi (HIMIKOM) Universitas Muslim Indonesia (UMI) menggelar acara DIMENSI KOMUNIKASI VOL IX (DK-IX) yang diselenggarakan di Hotel Swiss-Bell Panakkukang Kota Makassar, Senin (22/11/21).
DIMENSI KOMUNIKASI VOL IX mengangkat tema “ Karya dan Transformasi Digital ” dengan tagline “ Satukan Reka Cipta, Ciptakan Adikarya ”. Dan menampilkan pameran foto dari karya warga HIMIKOM UMI sekaligus memberi apresiasi pada kegiatan Communication Exploring.
Kegiatan ini dihadiri oleh berbagai lembaga kemahasiswaan, Dekan Fakultas Sastra,Wakil Dekan III Fakultas Sastra, Ketua Prodi Ilmu Komunikasi dan Wakil Rektor III yang diwakili oleh Dr.Ir. Mukti Maruddin, M.T sekaligus membuka acara resmi. Secara langsung beliau mengapresiasi bahwa, HIMIKOM telah membuktikan kreativitasnya melalui Dimensi Komunikasi kali ini.
Ismatul, selaku Ketua Panitia acara Dimensi Komunikasi mengungkapkan dimensi kali ini memperkenalkan bahwa HIMIKOM UMI tetap mampu berkarya ditengah keterbatasan pandemi dan mengusung tema yang berbeda dengan tahun kemarin dan tentunya sangat relevan dengan keadaan saat ini.
“Karya dan transformasi digital tentunya sangat berbeda karena dimensi komunikasi volume VIII kemarin itu diadakan secara online karena pada masa itu pandemi yang masih sangat ketat prokesnya. Alhamdulillah, sekarang kita sudah diberi izin tetapi tetap mematuhi protokol kesehatan jadi Dimensi Komunikasi VOL IX ini, kembali meriah seperti dimensi- dimensi sebelumnnya,” ungkapnya.
Lanjut, ia juga menjelaskan bahwa terkait item rangkaian dalam Dimensi Komunikasi VOL IX ini yang pertama mengadakan lomba, yaitu ada essay, video dan desain poster. Dan tentunya juga mengadakan pameran foto karya warga himpunan serta menyediakan nerny aksesoris dan fashion, serta mengadakan pula seminar nasional. Memberikan apresiasi karya comunication exploring, menampilkan persembahan spesial dari Guest Star.
“Ada banyak rangkaian kegiatan yang menarik hari ini dan penampilan memukau dari guest star yang kami siapakan,” tambahnya.
Nurfadillah, salah satu peserta dalam kegiatan dimensi menuturkan bahwa Dimensi ini, adalah wadah sekaligus ajang aktualisasi yang disediakan oleh warga HIMIKOM untuk mahasiwa Ilmu Komunikasi agar dapat menuangkan karya-karyanya, dimensi juga merupakan acara tahunan dari HIMIKOM.
“ Acaranya bagus, sebab bisa menjadi ajang pertemuan pertama sesama maba, bisa bertemu dengan teman-teman dan kami juga bisa tau nama-nama dosen yang bertemu di via online, melalui acara ini kami tau sejauh mana perkembangan Ilmu Komunikasi. Perihal kegiatan yang di adakan juga begitu bagus karena menampilkan tarian dan music sehingga kami antusias serta semangat,” tuturnya.
Safwan Ketua Umum HIMIKOM membeberkan bahwa dalam kegiatan dimensi kali ini, terlaksana begitu meriah dan sangat antusias dengan persiapan kurang lebih dua bulan sampai hari ini terlaksana. Dan untuk kendala yang dihadapi masih terkait pandemi Covid-19.
“Mengenai kendala, sama seperti sebelumnya yang selalu memaksimalkan penampilan, tentu saja di masa pandemi seperti ini apalagi kita masih kuliah online jadi tidak semua warga himikom berada di Makassar saat ini jadi hanya beberapa yang bisa turut langsung dalam kepanitian ini tetapi itu tidak menjadi alasan sehingga dimensi tidak bisa laksanakan,” bebernya.
Lanjut, ia juga berharap kegiatan ini akan terus ada dan lebih maksimal lagi tahun depannya serta dengan ide yang lebih menarik dan kreatif dari teman-teman ilmu komunikasi.
“ Harapan pada kegiatan ini kepengurusan selanjutnya bisa lebih dimaksimalkan sampai dimensi Ke X, semoga bisa lebih ter-updgrade dan memberikan manfaat yang lebih kepada seluruh audiens yang hadir dan memperkenalkan Himpunan Ilmu Komunikasi Universitas Muslim Indonesia,” tutupnya.
