Sebuah negeri
Negeri yang katanya penuh dengan kasih
Nyatanya penuh dengan penghianatan para bedebah
Negeri yang katanya makmur
Nyatanya ditunggangi oleh tikus berdasi
Kata orang negeri itu negeri hukum
Tapi hukum itu hanya dibagikan pada pemimpin yang mengikuti air liurnya dengan selera pasal-pasal yang maknanya gelap gulita
Hukum justru memuluskan jalan para borjuis
Tunggang langgang perut buncit
Langgeng karena pembagian
Dulu dia berseru tentang nurani dengan menjunjung tinggi hukum
Namun semua itu hanyalah omong kosong, harapan hampa tak bertumpu runtuh, tanpa pikir ia berperilaku
Kasihan para rakyat
Kala terbenam oleh air mata
Sebab sedikit kemanusiaan, segumpal kerakyatan, dimuliakan olah kepalsuan
Perih bukan?
Ternyata negeri itu Indonesia
Negeri Ibu Pertiwi,
Negeri yang diperjuangkan hingga titik darah penghabisan, namun di luluh lantahkan oleh penguasa yang mengatasnamakan kesejahteraan
