Makassar, Cakrawalaide.com – Mahasiswa Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) reguler angkatan 64 Universitas Muslim Indonesia (UMI), adakan pembuatan teh tradisional dan masker olahan dari daun kelor, di Desa Macinnae, Kecamatan Paleteang, Kabupaten Pinrang, Senin (10/2/2020).
Salah satu mahasiswi KKN, Nurisa Dessy, mengungkapkan tujuan pembuatan teh dan masker ini, yakni untuk mensosilisasikan kepada masyarakat agar mengetahui apa saja yang bisa diolah dari daun kelor .
“Jadi tujuan kami laksanakan program ini adalah untuk memberikan pengetahuan kepada masyarakat bahwa banyak yang bisa kita olah dari daun kelor, selain biasa digunakan sebagai sayuran, bisa juga kita oleh menjadi teh dan masker karena daun kelor memiliki banyak manfaat untuk kesehatan tubuh,” ungkapnya.
Menurutnya ada beberapa manfaat dari teh daun kelor ini, yakni dapat menurunkan gula darah, baik bagi jantung, mengandung senyawa anti kanker, serta antioksidannya dapat megatasi peradangan, dan masih banyak manfaat lainnya.
Selain menggelar kegiatan pemanfaatan daun kelor, selama berada di Desa Macinnae, mahasiswa KKN reguler angkatan 64 ini telah melaksanakan beberapa kegiatan lain, seperti penyuluhan Teknologi Informasi (TI), yang digelar di SMP 2 Pinrang.
Sementara itu, Andi Muhammad Alishar selaku Kordes juga menyampaikan harapannya selama berlangsungnya KKN di Desa Macinnae ini.
“Semoga KKN yang kami lakukan di desa Macinnae dapat bermanfaat bagi masyarakat sekitar, juga menambah wawasan, serta menjadikan program-program ini berkelanjutan setelah kami meninggalkan desa ini,” pungkasnya.
