Bebaskan Ijul dan 9 Korban Salah Tangkap Lainnya

Makassar, Cakrawalaide.com – Front Perjuangan Rakyat (FPR), kembali menggelar aksi demonstrasi, menuntut bebaskan Ijul dan 9 korban salah tangkap lainnya, pada aksi penolakan omnibus law di Kota Makassar. Aksi kali ini berlangsung di Fly Over. Senin, (08/02/2021).
Ijul dan 9 korban salah tangkap lainnya ditahan dengan tuduhan melakukan pengrusakan kantor partai dan pembakaran mobil ambulans, di depan kampus Universitas Negeri Makassar (UNM) pada (22/10/2020).
Kasus tersebut telah masuk dan diproses dalam persidangan. Sampai saat ini sidang sudah berlangsung selama 13 kali di Pengadilan Negeri (PN) Kota Makassar. Kamis (4/2/2021) lalu, tahapan persidangan telah masuk dalam agenda pembacaan tuntutan dari Jaksa Penuntut Umum (JPU).
Dalam sidang tersebut, JPU menuntut ijul dan korban salah tangkap lainnya selama 5 bulan penjara, dengan potongan masa tahanan yang saat ini berjalan.
Al Iqbal selaku humas aksi, membantah tuntutan JPU dan menjelaskan perkembangan persidangan, tuduhan yang ditujukan kepada Ijul dan 9 korban salah tangkap lainnya sama sekali tidak benar.
“Dari fakta persidangan dapat kita lihat sendiri saksi-saksi, bukti-bukti yang diadakan sangat kuat menjelaskan bahwa Ijul dan 9 kawan lainnya sama sekali tidak ikut dalam aksi apa lagi melakukan pelanggaran,” jelasnya.
Iqbal menambahkan jika berdasarkan fakta-fakta persidangan, mereka seharusnya dibebaskan karena tidak bersalah.
“Saksi-saksi yang dihadirkan JPU tidak mampu membuktikan bahwa ijul dan 9 korban salah tangkap lainnya adalah pelaku pembakaran,” tambahnya.
Selain itu, Alif yang juga merupakan salah satu massa aksi berharap agar ijul dan 9 korban salah tangkap lainnya segera dibebaskan, dan kriminalisasi terhadap gerakan rakyat tidak terulang kembali.
“Kawan-kawan kami bisa segera bebas, dan kasus serupa, tindakan kriminalisasi, penangkapan sewenang-wenang itu tidak terjadi lagi bagi aktivis maupun orang-orang yang menuntut hak-haknya.” harapnya.
Berdasarkan jadwal persidangan, pada Selasa (9/2/2021) akan digelar sidang lanjutan dengan agenda pembelaan atau Pledoi. Dalam sidang tersebut rencananya pihak kuasa hukum Lembaga Bantuan Hukum (LBH) Makassar akan melakukan pembelaan dan membantah tuntutan JPU, agar Ijul dan 9 korban salah tangkap lainnya bisa dibebaskan saat sidang putusan nantinya.
