HIMIKOM UMI Gelar DK Vol. VIII tanpa Anggaran dari Kampus

Himpunan Mahasiswa Ilmu Komunikasi (HIMIKOM) Universitas Muslim Indonesia (UMI), menggelar Dimensi Komunikasi Volume VIII tanpa anggaran dari kampus, Minggu (3/1/2021).
Kegiatan ini digelar secara virtual dengan menghadirkan Eno Bening dalam Talk Show “Digital Branding” dan pementasan hingga pameran foto karya dari kader HIMIKOM UMI.
Selaku Ketua Panitia, M. Fiqri Haiqal Nirwan mengungkapkan, dia tidak tahu menahu terkait alasan anggaran yang belum cair hingga hari berlangsungnya kegiatan. Menurutnya, pihak fakultas menyampaikan kepada panitia kegiatan untuk menunggu.
“Dari pernyataaan dari kampus kita tinggal menunggu dan sekarang ini sedang diproses di bendahara kemahasiswaan kampus,” ujar Fiqri sapaan akrabnya.
Saat dikonfirmasi terkait anggaran kegiatan Dimensi Komunikasi yang belum cair hingga hari pelaksanaan kegiatan, selaku Wakil Dekan III Fakultas Sastra dan Ilmu Komunikasi, Abdul Majid mengungkapkan bahwa kepanitian terlambat mengajukan proposal kegiatan.
“Proposal 1 bulan sebelum kegiatan baru ada dana dari kemahasiswaan,” kata Abdul Majid.
Ia juga turut menyalahkan HIMIKOM UMI yang lambat memberikan kepastian.
“Pada saat itu HIMIKOM, baru memberikan kepastian satu minggu, sebelum kegiatan bahwa kegiatan dimensi dilakukan secara virtual, jadi terkesan mepet,” tambahnya.
Selain itu, Abdul Majid juga membeberkan bahwa fakultas tidak memiliki dana untuk kegiatan kemahasiswaan.
“Kami juga dari pihak fakultas tidak memiliki dana sama sekali, tapi kami usahakan memberikan dana,” tutup mantan Ketua Prodi Ilmu Komunikasi tersebut.
Lain halnya yang diungkapkan Rahmat Fausta, selaku pendamping panitia Dimensi Volume VIII. Ia membantah apa yang dikatakan Abdul Majid terkait keterlambatan pengajuan proposal. Menurutnya panitia sudah mengajukan proposal berulang kali bahkan jauh sebelum kegiatan terlaksana, tetapi ditolak berulang kali oleh pihak fakultas hingga akhirnya proposal tersebut diterima.
“Apa yang dikatakan beliau (Abdul Majid) itu salah, karena kita dari panitia sudah memasukkan (proposal) Desember sebanyak empat kali proposal, sebelum akhirnya diterima dengan berbagai macam alasan dari pihaknya,” tutupnya.
