Rektor UMI Usir Mahasiswa yang Galang Dana
Makassar, Cakrawalaide.com – Rektor Universitas Muslim Indonesia (UMI) Basri Modding mengusir mahasiswa yang melakukan penggalangan dana, karena dinilai tidak memiliki izin dari pihak kampus.
Diketahui, Solidaritas Mahasiswa Peduli Beasiswa Binaan UMI melakukan penggalangan dana untuk mahasiswa yang tidak mampu membayar biaya kuliah di depan Menara UMI, Rabu (4/9).

Parle selaku mahasiswa Fakultas Agama Islam (FAI) yang tergabung dalam Solidaritas Mahasiswa Peduli Beasiswa Binaan UMI mempertanyakan soal transparansi beasiswa binaan.
“Pak saya hanya tanya soal transparansi beasiswa binaan,” kata Parle kepada Rektor.
Selaku Rektor, Basri Modding malah meminta mahasiswa untuk menunjukkan Kartu Tanda Mahasiswa (KTM).
“Mana kartu mahasiswamu, jangan sampai kalian preman sini,” ucap Rektor.
Lanjut, Basri juga meminta mahasiswa untuk pulang karena tidak memiliki izin.
“Kalian tidak memiliki izin, saya Rektor di sini, kalian pulang sana, saya bisa pecat kau,” kata Basri dengan nada tinggi kepada mahasiswa.
Diketahui, ZA merupakan mahasiswa FAI jurusan Hukum Ekonomi Syariah (HES) angkatan 2019 yang tidak mampu membayar biaya Pembayaran awal Sumbangan Pembinaan Pendidikan (SPP) dan Biaya Penyelenggaraan Pendidikan (BPP) sebesar Rp 4.500.000.
Seperti yang tertulis dalam selebaran Solidaritas Mahasiswa Peduli Beasiswa Binaan UMI meminta.
