Syamsurijal Ad’han adalah peneliti Litbang Agama Makassar yang juga hadir sebagai salah satu narasumber dalam diskusi sosoalisasi hasil survey persepsi orang muda dan pemetaan internet sosial – media tentang radikalisme dan ekstrismisme di Indonesia yang diadakan oleh Jaringan GUSDURian Indonesia dalam hal ini dilaksanakan oleh GUSDURian Makassar bekerjasama dengan International NGO Forum or Indonesian Development (Infid).
Kegitan tersebut bertempat di aula KH. Muhammad Ramly, lantai III Fakultas Teknologi Industri UMI Makassar, Jumat (03/02). Beliau mengungkapkan tentang toleransi keberagamaan yang terjadi di kabupaten toraja yang mayoritasnya agama Nasrani tapi tak menghalangi agama lain untuk beribadah. Beberapa bangunan mesjid tampak kokoh di tengah-tengah desa tersebut, hal ini menunjukkan toleransi keberagaman yang sangat terlihat di kabupaten Toraja.
Tak hanya itu Litbang Agama Makassar juga aktif dalam melakukan penelitian radikalisme dan fundamentalisme terkhusus di Indonesia Timur. Kekerasan berbaju agama salah satu yang ditengarai berperan dalam berkembangnya radikalisme agama di Indonesia. Dalam konteks islam yang mayoritas banyak di Indonesia, radikalisme agama banyak berperan lebih, namun tidak berarti bahwa agama lain juga tidak dihinggapi hal demikian. Kekerasan radikalisme agama di Tolikara juga menjadi bagian yang sublim beberapa ummat Kristiani dan agama-agama lainnya.
Syamsurijal Ad’han memaparkan hasil penelitian mengenai paham radikalisme bagi kaum muda dan upaya mencegah konflik agama. Berikut hasil wawancara bersama saat diwawancarai oleh awak Cakrawalaide.
Bagaimana menurut anda tentang paham radikalisme di kalangan kaum muda ?
Kami beberapa kali melakukan penelitian dan tampak gejala pergeseran paham dari paham yang moderat dulunya, kemudian kecenderungannya menjadi agak lebih radikal sekarang. Di beberapa kampus juga terjadi seperti itu dan juga di kalangan-kalangan siswa ada 3 (tiga). Kita melakukan penelitian terhadap Mahasiswa, Siswa, dengan Remaja Mesjid. Kecenderungan itu tetap ada, meskipun tetap saja yang toleran itu jauh lebih besar jadi jumlahnya, perbandingannya itu sekitar 80 sekian persen moderat toleran dan 11 koma sekian persen yang sudah mulai mengalami gejala-gejala radikalisme, hanya sedikit kalau ditinjau dalam persentase.
Berdasarkan penelitian Litbang Agama Makassar, mana yang lebih condong radikal, kaum muda dibanding kaum tua?
Sebenarnya kaum muda karena mereka lebih mudah mengakses informasi dari internet dibanding dengan kalangan tua, kalangan tua itu kan punya kemampuan untuk memilah-milah hasil analisnya karena mereka lebih cenderung menyaring informasinya dibanding dengan kamu muda.
Bagaimana upaya untuk melakukan pencegahan konflik agama seperti banyaknya desain propaganda antar agama di sosial media ?
Yah, saya kira ada gerakan kebijakan dari Negara untuk membatasi informasi yang sifatnya menyulut pertikaian. Itu telah dilakukan sekarang dan saya kira gerakan-gerakan harus mengambil alih media sebenarnya, harus memperbanyak membagi informasi tentang islam lebih toleran dibanding oleh kelompok ini. Selama ini, kalau kita kita membuka situs ini yang pertama muncul itu kelompok-kelompok yang radikal moderatnya itu dibawah, jadi dia harus meningkatkan intensitas pemberitaannya atau informasi yang ia berikan di media online.
Apa tantangan kaum muda untuk melawan radikalisme ?
Pertama kaum muda itu harus lebih banyak belajar agama dari sumber yang betul-betul bisa dipertanggungjawabkan jadi belajarlah ilmu agama dari kalangan ulama-ulama gitu yah kalau tidak bisa masuk di pesantren coba di SMA tapi bertanya ke guru-guru agamanya bertanya kepada ustadz yang memahami agama mungkin disekitar keluarganya dan lain-lainnya. Jadi kalau misalnya dapat informasi dari internet coba ditanyakan lagi kepada orang tuanya dirumah atau orang yang dianggap memahami agama dan seterusnya gitu. Sehingga dia betul-betul bisa mendapatkan pemahaman agama yang utuh karena di internet itu sepotong-sepotong gitu misalnya makna jihad langsung hanya kekerasan kan ? Padahal kalau kita Tanya ustadz bisa memberikan penjelasan lebih detail makna jihad itu.
Bagaimana memacu minat anak muda untuk membaca buku dari pada membaca berita di media yang peluang hoaxnya lebih besar ?
Saya kira itu susah karena memang sekarang dunianya dunia informasi kan ? jadi anda akan lebih mudah mengakses informasi melalui handphone yang setiap hari ada ditangan anda dibanding dengan buku yang mungkin harus dibawa kemana-mana, pergi membeli dan seterusnya. Yang paling penting sekarang, bukan yang mana lebih harus diakses tapi kontennya itu, konten dari pemberitaan-pemberitaan di media-media online itu harus diisi oleh media yang benar-benar munafit, itu yang paling penting.
Dalam ajaran agama, bagaimana harusnya media memberikan informasi ?
Dari ajaran agama kita harus mengkonfirmasi dulu informasi itu, jadi jangan ketika dapat berita satu lalu menganggap berita yang satu sudah benar, harus lihat yang lain juga, jadi begitu ada berita yang masuk ke anda kalau saya anak muda itu jangan langsung sebar coba dalami dulu verifikasi dulu apa benar berita ini dan seterusnya jadi saya tidak akan menyebarkan berita-berita kalau saya tidak meyakini bahwa berita itu benar, juga harus dilihat dampak sebenarnya meskipun benar berita itu kalau nanti disebarkan lebih banyak berdampak negatif maka tidak usah disebarkan seharusnya.
Apa hukum menyebarkan informasi hoax ?
Namanya hoax itu sebenarnya kebohongan kan ? Jadi kalau kita menyebarkan kebohongan itu sama halnya menyebarkan fitnah.
Apa pesan untuk media terkhusus pers mahasiswa dalam melaksanakan perannya sebagai media informasi ?
Saya kira prinsip media itu yang selalu mau mengangkat berita-berita buruk sebagai sesuatu yang bagus itu harus dihindari sekarang lebih bagus mengangkat berita yang baik untuk kepentingan kemaslahatan ummat manusia.
