Apresiasi Karya Mahasiswa, HIMIKOM UMI Gelar Screening Film

Makassar, Cakrawalaide.com – Himpunan Mahasiswa Ilmu Komunikasi (HIMIKOM) gelar Screening Film road to Dimensi Vol. IX, di aula Fakultas Sastra, Kampus II Universitas Muslim Indonesia (UMI). Kamis, 28/10/2021.
Kegiatan ini adalah salah satu bentuk apresiasi terhadap karya-karya mahasiswa Ilmu Komunikasi angkatan 2019. Berbagai judul film pendek yang ditayangkan seperti “Berpihak”, “Larut Malam”, “Wifi” ,”Namira”, “Malih”, “Waalaikumsalam”, dan special movie “Takut Denda”.
“Tujuan dilaksanakannya screening film Road To Dimensi kali ini, yaitu untuk mengapresiasi karya teman-teman himpunan yang telah membuat karya film khususnya angkatan 2019 pada mata kuliah Sinematografi,” Ungkap ketua panitia, Syawal Muhammad Zein.
Lebih lanjut, ia mengatakan bahwa selain bentuk apresiasi ini juga sebagai wadah mahasiswa baru angkatan 2021.
“ Selain itu, tujuannya juga memberi wadah kepada adik-adik angkatan 2021 agar bisa mempunyai bekal dan kesiapan dalam menghadapi mata kuliah Sinematografi nantinya,” tambahnya.
Bella Aulia, Selaku wakil ketua umum ikut mengungkapkan bahwa kegiatan ini dilaksanakan rutin setiap tahunnya. Dan dari tahun ke tahun mengalami peningkatan peserta.
“ Ini adalah kegiatan rutin internal yang dilaksanakan setiap tahun. Awalnya, kegiatan ini untuk umum. Tapi melihat kondisi sekarang tidak memungkinkan, maka kami hanya mengkhususkan angkatan 2021 saja,” tuturnya.
Ia juga menyampaikan harapan kedepannya bahwa konsep Screening Film harus bisa lebih kreatif dari konsep-konsep sebelumnya.
“ Saya berharap, konsep Screening Film bisa lebih ditingkatkan lagi setiap tahunnya. Bukan Cuma berpatokan seperti yang sebelumnya saja. Baiknya, bisa kreatif lagi. Misal, dibuat secara umum. Agar bisa lebih dilirik lagi,” tambahnya.
Anita, sebagai peserta screening film mengatakan bahwasanya kegiatan ini sangat bagus. Karena sebagai bentuk partisipasi terhadap jurusan Ilmu Komunikasi.
“ Dengan adanya kegiatan seperti ini, itu bisa menjadi bukti fisik , bahwa ini loh, Ilmu Komunikasi ada karya atau hasil yang bisa dilihat. Bukan hanya sekedar masuk Ilmu Komunikasi dan Himpunan saja, ” Kata Mahasiswa angkatan 2021 tersebut.
Dilain sisi, dari peserta lain mengungkapkan harapan kedepannya mengenai film pendek yang ditampilkan.
“ Harapan saya kedepannya, konsep film pendek harus lebih bagus lagi. Karena ada beberapa scene-scene yang berlebih-lebihan. Jadi kami selaku penonton tidak menunggu, ternyata masih ada lagi lanjutannya. Baiknya, konsen terhadap konflik dan plotnya”, Tutup Yaya.
